Reflection Hunters Contest~ Round 12: El Mirador Chapel Reflections

Reflections can be really fascinating, and this photograph taken when peeping through the window of the quaint little thatch-roofed El Mirador Chapel at the Champagne Sports Resort in the heart of the Champagne Valley, Central Drakensberg; is quite deceptive as it looks like the foliage and the sky is inside the building.

One has to look carefully to distinguish between the interior of the chapel with the pews and the exterior with the trees reflecting into the chapel through the windows.

The resort is an awesome wedding venue so naturally this little chapel has been the venue of many wedding ceremonies.

The chapel is set apart from the rest of the resort so it is absolutely quiet and peaceful here.

My bestie @artywink and another very good friend were with when we stayed here the last time; it was a tad dusky at this stage.

Very steep thatch roof covers the chapel.

I imagine this little annex with the steep sloped thatch roof possibly is the vestry where the signing of the wedding register would take place, but I'm really guessing here.

Interesting that they built two heavy wooden doors side by side, not the usual double doors that would open up widely as is usual in chapels or churches.
