The penultimate bell

Sitting on the stool, he waits for the sound of the penultimate bell. Although the fight has been close, he knows he will lose on the judges' scorecards if he doesn't knock him out in the next three minutes. The mob hopes to get the most out of the bets, he must lose.

He gets up and agilely goes to the center of the ring. He receives a strong right to the chin that knocks him down. It is the first time that his knee has touched the ground after forty fights. Look at the corner, the gesture of the coach telling him not to get up.

Listen to the count of the referee, and feel very unfortunate to participate in the charade. On the count of nine, he stands up and nods that he is fine, that he can continue. The champion attacks him from all sides with powerful blows. He wants to finish it, but in a fleeting furious counterattack, the champion lies unconscious on the canvas. The referee does not even bother to count the ten regulatory seconds, on the contrary, he calls the doctor to attend to the fallen.

He has made a mistake, he has crowned a brilliant boxing campaign with a victory, but the mafia will not be happy and will try to collect the bill sooner rather than later. He knows, the coach leaves the convention center amid lights and hubbub.

In the dressing room, a couple of men wait fruitlessly for the return of the new champion. Unbelievably, a new fight around the ring has emerged. The maddened champion attacked, in full view, the sponsor. The bodyguards tried to protect them but could not, he dispatched them easily with accurate blows. Everything is being played for everything. He yells furiously, that does release his family or he won't respond.

The mobster is terrified, and the police baffled. He takes it by the elegant suit and jerk he lifts it over his own head, tells him that he will break it in two and rip his head off. He feels a yellowish and smelly liquid running down his back, while the minimized mob boss begs for his life, agrees to the champion's order in front of the cameras.
