I promised I was going to write a short story review at least once every week, but yes I know, I have faltered. I actually do read quite a good number of short stories as they are free and readily available for use to everyone. Feedbooks and Project Gutenberg has an extensive database of short stories devoid of copyright, and available for use to anyone. I also plan on writing a piece on how to write good book reviews. Giving some tips and ideas to better your book review writing. Maybe I can do that later. Anyways, I am here again and it is time to talk about another exciting piece by an unfamiliar author.

Frank Banta the author happens to be a pianist. He is also a recording artist with multiple tracks. When I saw the title of the book, I had a feeling it would be something worth my time. "Droozle" is not an actually word, but a word for a character in the piece.

PLOT

Jean Lanni was a young artist about to get married to his girlfriend Judy Stokes. His Marriage was halted to the surprise of his girlfriend as a result of Jean's ball point pen not writing as he wants it to. Alas, to Judy's greatest surprise, his pen was a snake. A puppy snake which he came across when he graduated art school an was on a tour. The snake (droozle) seems to be the source of his fortune, and he is afraid that he would loose all of it because the snake refuses to write an average bestselling novel like he has always done, but to started making classics and he has a voice of his own now.

SETTING

No exact location was mentioned in the book. The only hint of a setting one gets is that they started off in the wedding.

CHARACTERS

The lead actor Jean Lanni which plans the main role in the story. His girlfriend and supposed wife to be Judy Stokes. One cannot fail to mention the main character which is Droozle the word people.

PURPOSE

I can't but think the story is not the one to put out messages. There are also underlying lessons that might have skipped past me. You might detect them.

I know know right, how did read this one. If I am to honestly rate this book, i'd give it a 2/5. Story lacked a bit of action or improvement. Needed oomph. Its quite limited, so it has an unparalleled story line. A book with little to no excitement, bizarre ending. Worth reading? Not so much.

Thank you for reading. I try not to give spoilers, :). Everything said herein are actually my own opinion. If there is anything I might have missed of misinterpreted or quoted wrongly even, please point me towards it in the comment down below. Also, you could drop me your mail, so I could email it to you. It's 14 pages or there about, it's free. well, I have got ya. listen here Till next time.
