Mirchi Mandakki - The Rural Indian spicy snacks

Yes, I bet 80% on the rural mass in Karnata are the daily consumers of Mirchi or Mensanikai bonda or Menasinakai Bajji. Since these are made of Green chillies, the final snacks will be spicy. And goes well with puffer rice or what we call them as Mandakki. Lot of local songs go rhyming Mirchi Mandakki here

One a Rainy evening, we wanted to prepare some snacks and Mirchi was the choice.

What do we need ?

  • Green Chilli
  • Lentils Flour or Besan Flour with little rice powder
  • Salt and
  • Cooking oil

Mix the flour with water and salt with a thick consistency that chilli can hold some while dipped into it.
