Colleague vs. Friend
We all have friends. If you work in a company or any organization, you have colleagues at your workplace. We spend most of the time at work. The relationship between you and your colleague is really important. Sometimes you might be confused to differentiate between colleague and friend.
You can share anything with your friends. Once you have a friend, you can have that friend forever. On the other hand, you usually share anything related to your professional life with your colleague. It is better to have a friendly relationship with your colleague.
At the same, it is better not to mix up personal and professional life. You get to choose your friends. You have total freedom. On the flip side, you don't get to choose your colleague.

Personal and professional life is not the same. In personal life those who are friends are lifelong friends. But in professional life those who are friends are temporary in the workplace.
