What Does It Take To Succeed On Hive?

Many people want the secret to succeeding on Hive. How do I go about doing this?

I wish there was a 3 step process that I could put together that would do it. Sadly, the answer is not that sexy. Instead it is more brass knuckles than something that could be packaged as a How To Manual.

In this video I discuss what I feel it takes to succeed on Hive and how anyone can go about it. This is not an overnight process and will take a great deal of effort. However, by committing, one can stand out in different niches which could really end up enhancing someone's standing.

That's often the problem we run into, not only with Hive, but with all sorts of projects we might undertake. People want a "sexy shortcut" to doing something that has no shortcuts.

Aside from reining in what we might think constitutes "success" to fit within the realm of reality, my personal one-word "secret sauce" is PERSEVERANCE. You have to show up every day, all the time... regardless of whether or not you feel like it.

If I make it to 1,000 LEO and 1,000 POB staked by the end of 2021 I will consider this to be a "successful" year. For ME. To a lot of other people, that might be a joke...

In life, with success, there are few sexy shortcuts. The self help/seminar industry sells the idea of get rich quick and instantly turn your life around.

The reality is success is often the result of a long term, daily effort pursuit. Hive is no different.

Been here for years dishing out content and brining others on board. Doing what I can but of course I could do more. Seriously my end goal here is within the next year or two say by 2023 I want to be doing crypto and primarily hive full time!

It's not sexy, it takes a lot of time, resources and commitment.

Those who put forth the effort will stand out over time, especially if they are involved in the tribes. It is impossible not to.

You say it well as usual, all calm and collected.

I feel like I’m as committed and dedicated as they come. I’ve had some success thanks to this. I constantly crave more success, but I can admit that my efforts have been rewarded already.

One thing I struggle with sometimes is trying to ignore “lesser” content getting larger rewards than my hard work. I’ve found that complaining is a total waste of time. I just keep doing my thing and know that I won’t stop for anything. This has put me in a better place than I was when I started.

Thanks for continually bringing great things to Hive with your posts.

Yeah the idea of complaining about it wont result in success. Can you imagine if Blocktrades complained about the coding of the chain and whined about how hard it was? Most would laugh.

The reality is success is the result of effort and people seem to think Hive is different. It is not. All advancement, online or off, require people to show up daily and get involved. Even in trading, you have to enter the markets at some point.

🤣😂 Alternate timeline BT: untitled.gif

I’ve watched some people close in my life who are tremendously successful now suffer through years of struggle previously. Even I wasn’t able to see their vision as clearly as they were and they stuck with it to find great success. Very motivational and encouraging stuff.

Great video, I can totally agree with everything you said.

I searched for that fast track sercet to success when I first arrived on hive and quickly realised, there isin't a simple route to quick success.

As with anything of real value we do in life, succeeding on hive requires rolling up your sleeves and bigging in.

Understanding that as a stakeholder, no matter how small your stake you are creating value for yourself and in turn value for the communities you gravitate towards.

I see this as similar to building a personal brand over time and constatly adding value to your stake, while building invaluable contacts and connections with others that are dedicated to building a thriving community.

At least over time with perseverence and dedication you can build a little something of great value, while aslo being able to give a little something back via the value of your growing curation rewards through staking to other valuable content creators those engaging and creating an overall presents on hive.

I have learned so such in such a short time and every moment, every comment, every post and every bit of engagement has been worth every single second.

I see this as similar to building a personal brand...

I think this is one of the most overlooked aspects to Hive. Anyone on here can start to build a brand within what is being offered. Over time, as things expand, I foresee those with that branding will stand out.

After all, YouTube did not attract media stars, they created their own. Hive needs to do the same thing.

Ease of use is a problem. I'm meeting a lot of people looking for a project like hive to earn from especially as many have discovered crypto only via the bsc shitcoins. I could lead them to hive like the pied piper but they all get confused on how to sign up and get started. I could help them find their voice and vote them until they are ready to leave the nest but honestly when I get into the onboarding with them they fall off. I could brink in 20 new users a week if it was easier and we all voted for them for awhile

Ease of use is a problem across all of crypto. It is not an easy world right now. However, if one looks at the ability, if he or she forges through, to develop a brand and to be where people are going to be heading in the future, then it is worth the time in my opinion.

Of course, many felt the Internet was too difficult in the early stages. Probably didnt cost them but if those with business ideas walked away, they might have had their own Amazon.

The sexy comes after you do the boring stuff over and over again!
That's some real & raw advice by a Hive Veteran. ✌ All points noted @taskmaster4450!

I am dedicated more to LEO than any of the other tribes because I want to learn about crypto & finance. At the same time, I am trying my best to create content that could attract traffic to our sweet platform. By showing up everyday, adding value to the platform and engaging with everyone, I have grown my account quite well.

Learning lots of new things everyday and I think my hard work has paid off. I would love to do this full since I see huge potential here but before that, I need to have enough passive income resources to even sustain the bear markets and other unforeseen situations. Hoping to see that day very soon. 🤞

In my opinion you are doing well. You participate in @leomarkettalk which is enhancing your standing as well as your wallet. That is how it is done.

Not sex, rather boring, but consistent. And your wallet will reflect that in a year or two.

Everyone just needs to play their own part and show up. I just do what I can to help the project succeed since it looks like the best thing for me to do. I personally think LEO is the one with the most potential and you can earn HIVE while you are at it.

That is true. We all have a part to play. In a cooperative, we all have to tend to our own yard and home maintenance. We cant expect anyone else to do it. However, when one falls short in the neighborhood, it is glaring.

I really do not watch videos (It look time consuming to me.) but this is one that I watched after long time and I agree that dedication and constant improvement is real way to success.

Do not be to rigid , respect other opinion and keep moving on and keep adapting.

I'm very new to Hive and have spent just a little bit of time posting on various platforms, commenting, reading communities, etc... All very casually. But the more I read and see how things work around here, the more excited I get to start making content.

I come from mainstream social media where for the past few years my focus was on clickbait and marketing of my offline business. Content was superficial. It was neither useful for the viewer, nor gratifying to create. It was all about the clicks and analytics. I HATE making that kind of shallow, short form content.

So, I'm very happy to see that not only is more well thought out and longer form content welcome here, but it's expected. I love that. As a Hive noob, it feels like I've found the space I've been looking for for a very long time. And your posts have been some of the most useful I've found as I find my way around here. I appreciate that.
