The Metaverse is going to unfold over a period of decades. It might take as long as a half century before it comes to completel fruition. That said, it does not mean we are not going to have a lot of iterations where real progress is going to be made.

In this video I discuss how we are have a lot of names tied to the next iteration of the Internet. We will go with Web 3.0 for simplicity. This is certainly a part of the evolution towards the Metaverse. It is also a phase that is dependent upon blockhcain and cryptocurrency as its foundation.

You keep saying something I agree with regarding blockbuster and Kodak, but it just dawned on me neither of those entities had guns, tanks, drones, bombs, etc… they were more or less completely at the mercy of the market once things shifted.

Government has the firepower to extract resources far beyond what a business can borrow to stay afloat or adapt.

How do you think that factors in to how this wave might differ from previous examples?
