Tesla is a company that I am optimistic about. Of the many reasons, one thing we can look at is the TAM. When we factor this in, we see how it stands out from the crowd.

In this video I discuss how Tesla is involved in markets where 6 of the top 9 larges companies are (by revenue). The automotive and energy segments dominate the revenue accumulation. This bodes well for Tesla, a company that is targeting both.

Summary:
The video discusses the concept of Total Available Market (TAM) in relation to Tesla, emphasizing the potential growth opportunities beyond just being a car company. The speaker highlights Tesla's involvement in renewable energy and battery production, suggesting that their expansion into the energy sector could significantly impact their future growth and market dominance. Despite Tesla's high valuation, the speaker argues that their potential in the energy market could propel them to become the largest company in the world.

Detailed Article:
The video starts with the speaker introducing the concept of Total Available Market (TAM) and its relevance to Tesla. The speaker emphasizes that while Tesla is primarily known as a car company, it also operates in the energy sector, focusing on renewable energy and battery production. The mention of Tesla's Powerwall and MegaPak signifies their expansion and commitment to the energy business.

The speaker acknowledges the skepticism surrounding Tesla's high valuation and acknowledges that by conventional metrics, the company appears overvalued. However, he argues that looking at Tesla solely as a car manufacturer is short-sighted, given its potential in the energy market. By drawing a parallel with other major companies primarily in the energy and automotive sectors, the speaker underscores the vast market Tesla is operating in.

An intriguing point made is regarding the size of the energy market compared to the automobile market. The speaker points out that the energy market is ten times larger and presents significant growth opportunities. Even capturing a small percentage of the energy market could have a substantial impact on Tesla's overall revenues, given its current position in the industry.

The discussion further delves into the profitability of Tesla's different divisions, highlighting the automobile division as a major revenue generator that subsidizes the growth of the energy division. The speaker suggests that leveraging profits from one division to fuel growth in another is a key strategy for Tesla's expansion and success.

In conclusion, the speaker speculates that if Tesla effectively executes its growth strategy, especially in the energy sector, it has the potential to become not just the largest company in the world but by a significant margin. The video closes with a hopeful message and a reminder of the exciting possibilities ahead for Tesla.

Overall, the video provides a thought-provoking analysis of Tesla's market potential beyond the automotive industry, shedding light on the company's growth prospects and its positioning in the evolving energy market. The speaker's insights into leveraging profits, market dynamics, and growth strategies offer valuable perspectives on Tesla's future trajectory.
