Uluru Sunset
Watching the sun set next to Uluru / Ayers Rock is one of the more iconic things to see in Australia. The juxtaposition of the endless flatness with the improbable monolith makes for some nice simple compositions. Currently trying to find the motivation to do the last financial years tax returns; so I should get back to it.

Such an iconic image when one thinks if Australia...You capture the essence of the red Centre here...But you know that already. :)
It's a bit abstract I think for people who don't know the rock. But for those that have seen it it seems to resonate with them.
Many will over ever see it in pictures so I think it's nice to see many varied ones which give people a different impression. It's ever-changing with light, seasons and angle and so should the images of it be.
Nice Photo and a great place to be in current times :)
Thanks. Where are you based?
Hi @intrepidphotos - I am based in Sydney at the moment :)
Nice. We have a property in the lower hunter near Wollombi.
Wonderful picture...It feels strange to know that the Aboriginal tribes that lived around Uluru centuries ago also watched the same view of the sunset. Have a great day...
Yep. For 10's of thousands of years even. Timeless vista.
