hunting in the fields. insects macro #298

Hello, hivers! It was a fruitful day for my macro photohunting. In the morning I met a wonderful barbel beetle (see my previous post; under the pretext of which I immediately pulled my curious child out of bed :) then a chocolate butterfly stopped by the sunny side of our house to pose me (and posed me really well!), and after lunch I was greeted by a ground beetle , which unlike usual, was also in no hurry and willing to pose me! In general, a rich catch - I bring to your attention all of the following, and a little more!

Its been a while that I am in the know that old, rotten, moldy faded wood turns into a super-beautiful photo-textures and sets the tone in general, but it really surprised me, how a dirty unwashed glass can look so beautiful! It gave to a photo even some winter touch and a fabulous mood (or is it just my imagination?).

An ordinary ground beetle is an agile predatory beast! But fortunately, I came across an unusual instance. Judging by the decently swollen abdomen, this madame was pregnant, therefore she preferred not to rush off from me, hiding in any tucked up slot, but quietly froze to sit in the place where I carefully placed her. It would be a sin to ignore such a chance! And I gave her a tour of the mossy pebble, the black covering garden material, and the yellow birch leaf. The results are in front of you.

This tiny fly attracted my attention with its magnificent golden splendor. And when I watched the macro shots, I saw her legs have a funny panties!

Millipede: a very nimble and flexible creature, always striving to run away or non-stop bending, so keeping in focus even a part of her body is not easy. I was lucky to find (accidentally!) a useful trick to approach to this slippery lady: she fell from the leaf on which I planted her into a shallow puddle of water - and it turned out to be a brilliant position: continuing to rake all the way with her paws (not water-adapted) she always remained at the same spot! But of course, I could do nothing with the curving of the head, neck and torso, anyway this trick increased % of suitable images by 200%.

I catched a moment: bee is cleaning its trunk. She sat motionless on a thistle for a minute, a small break in the endless labors of collecting honey. Due to that break, I received a decent macro shot.

Another unidentified somebody -- must be a nectar lover, according to sufficient size of the trunk!
