Some shots I took while the GoPro was recording a Timelapse

On my Wednesday walk post I shared a timelapse of the sunrise next door to the pier at one end of the Harbor walk, where I often go for my morning walk, I did not want to go to far from the goPro and tripod and I am not want that's good at just standing still and waiting, especially not for the hour the timelapse was running for so I strolled back and forth either side of the tripod and got a few shots that I will share here.

Starting with a shot of the pier, thats not a ghost on the pier, but it was a long exposure of 30 seconds to get the glassy feel to the water, and the fisherman was moving on the pier so came out with the ghostly look

One plus of not being able to walk to far I looked for different perspectives that I had not taken shots of before such as this one with the wild flowers in the foreground and the sun setting in the background

OK this next one is not a new perspective, but I love piers for some reason and cant resist at least one or two photos of it each time I am there.

This was a new perspective I don't think I have ever taken a photo from the walkway on the right goes around along the shore and past a restaurant that recently opened in this location.

What a nice and calm start into the day - I love the photos and my favourite today is the second image with the flowers in the foreground - beautiful 😍

I hope you and Lulu are enjoying a great day and weekend, JJ 🌞

Thanks I was hard pressed which to put first the pier or the flowers, probably should have gone with the flowers as I have shared so many shots of the pier lOL

Lulu is still sleeping, we may have to go to the walk in Clinic this morning she feels she has another infection coming on

The long exposure is cool, but the flowers are wow 👍😀
I'm sorry to hear that - hopefully it is only a feeling or if not that they can help her.

That ghost one could be such a cool story!!!! Hehehehe

The colors in your photos are always so alive!!!! You have such an incredible eye for framing these shots perfectly. They're just beautiful!

I also love piers....hm .I'm not sure why either .. but it's just a feeling of being able to be right out into the water, beyond the breakers and just be surrounded by the peace. I love them. And they are so strong and sturdy also...just have this feeling of being safe amidst the waves

Hehehe

Morning, my friend!!!

Yeah It could be for sure, Often I take out the ghosted like people in shots but I felt it added to that one

Thanks kindly you are so sweet :)

Yes that could be a like piers and I also find they add to have in the foreground with the sunrise or sunset in the background :)

Have a great day

Yes I always also try to find some flower or branch to add to the picture when I have something so expansive in the back....it just feels so much nicer hehehe

You have a beautiful day too!!!

I think it adds to the photo, just focusing on the for example the colors of the sunrise, it lacks depth without a foreground subject

Thanks so kind of you, I get up most days at 4 AM, Pop onto my computer and do some photo editing, then head out to catch the sunrise, often being at the spot for over an hour, then head home and work on more editing, a lot of my photos like these are 3 Shot photos, one normal exposure, one for the darks ( over exposed) and one for the brights ( under exposed) which I then merge together for a photo to edit, quite a time consuming process

Thanks again you made me smile ;)

I'm looking for the ghost, hahaha!
I like that first shot! Did you take it sitting down? It looks endless!
And the other photos... they are wonderful!'
I like the setting of the sun with the wildflowers!
You always bring sights that are not an everyday thing to me, and so I appreciate you.
Especially now, when it is too "smokey" where I live.
Well, I don't see the water and the sun together, and I miss it so much.'I guess it's time for a vacation! Alas, I have to wait.
Thanks, @tattoodjay!

I looked again it’s easy to miss the ghost at the end of the pier

Not quite sitting down but had the tripod very low and bending way down for that one
I saw your post all that smoke is terrible stay safe

Even in your leisure, waiting on the time-lapse, you couldn't resist! :))

This was time that was well spent, each and every one of them truly has a special moment in it. The second one is hands down my favorite - no doubt about it. The Queen Annes Lace in the foreground adds different elements to the scene than normal, softening and framing it in a different kind of beauty.

The glow of the morning is purely glorious!

It is moments like these that make my day. Your photography is simply beautiful. Frame it!

(Edited)

I wasn’t sure which to use for the first shot was bouncing back and forth between the pier and the flowers
I loved the flower shot as it was different from most I have taken there

I am not one for standing or sitting still that’s why I got the GoPro I can do time lapse on my Sony but then I would be twiddling my thumbs waiting for an hour lol

Thanks for such a kind comment you really know how to boost my ego lol

I love those drops of light on the in the second and fourth photo. Their reflections are really awesome and would make nice paintings.

Very nice! The camera really does a great job on getting the beautiful colors. When I when see photos from the beach, I often think of sunsets, but I got to remember that it could be sunrises. Always wondered if people would lose track of direction if their used to going to one ocean but instead, go to the other.

Thanks I am very happy with my Sony it works well for me

I am lucky here I have beaches that are good for sunrises and others good fir sunsets

And I must add a footnote it’s part the camera part how I use it

Lol

Thanks 🙏

AWESOME shots!
I've heard of sunrise, and in fact, stayed awake a few times to see one.
But, mostly, they happen so early in the morning... I think it's best for me to admit, night person, thru and thru

It's actually killing me, each weekend, because, I am up early each Saturday, for a two plus hour drive to set up for a Craft Fair, to sell my images, plus a drive home after, then do it again Sunday, for the drive to the fair, and break it down Sunday Night to drive a couple hours home.
I just get back on my evening schedule and the next weekend come!

I'll be in Harwich (Cape Cod), at the Cranberry Craft Fair, selling this coming weekend (14th and 15th). If you feel up to driving. If not, maybe at the end of the month, in Brewster on Cape Cod. Aug 28, 29th.A few others, here and there too.

The closest to you will be Carver MA, on OCT 2nd, at Cranberry Village Craft Fair. It'd be nice to say hi in Person!
