Zoom Bible Study. 25-07-2021

Here are my lesson gained from today's bible study.

Salvation comes through faith, and one has faith through hearing the word of God.
In gaining salvation, these are very important

The word of God
The Preacher who preach
The heart of the hearer

Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
The word of God to be preached must be true and should be the right doctrine, no deceit.

The preacher must be send by God and should preach according to. God's instruction.

The hearer must prepare his/her heart to receive the word.

John 6:28-29
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Salvation comes from God not man. God can decide to use anyone as a preacher regardless of the physical state of such person.

Attributes of a true preacher

1. He must be sent by God
2. He must preach the word of God and not glory in him self.

1 Corinthians 9:16
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Acts 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
Acts 26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee.
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

How do we discern a preacher send by God?

Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

We can know whomever that is sent by God through the word of God that is been dispensed from their mouth.

1 Thessalonians 2:3
For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

A true preacher is to speak the word of God purely and wholly without adding or deducting any from it.
A preacher who doesn't speak the pure word of God is false

Proverbs 30:5-6
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
