Zoom Live Thanksgiving Service. 12th June, 2021

Lessons learnt from the zoom live Thanksgiving Service:
The mercy of God is everlasting, His loving kindness lasts forever. We should never doubt the mercy, faithfulness and loving kindness of God. His faithfulness is in all generations and he can never lie.
Titus 1:2
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Hebrews 10:23
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

We should not be anxious or worried of whatever happens but we should rather cast our cares upon him for he careth for us
1 Peter 5:7
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

We should have a perspective that does not deviate from the will of God. The mindset of men is being tricked by the devil by anxiety but we should always put our trust in God. We shouldn't be separated from the light of God thereby making our hearts darkened.

We should not be hearers of the word only but also the doers. And when we do the word of God, it should reflect in our pattern of life. We need to execute and put into action the knowledge and wisdom of God. When you don't do the teachings of God it is as though the word does not have effect on you. We should practice holiness. We should do things intentionally and with purpose. We should hold onto the doctrine of God and put them into action.

God cares for us and would never afflict us. Whenever we are afflicted, we should examine ourselves and return to the Lord where we have erred rather than putting blames on God. When we sin against Him, we should go back to Him in prayer and supplication. We should never lose trust in God because He can make a way and proffer solution whenever we are in difficulties in as much as we put our trust in Him.
2 Corinthians 13:5
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

We must be diligent in applying the things which we are learning. Because everything we learn is for our advancement and growth.

We were admonished to love our enemies and do good unto those that hate us. We should not repay evil with evil but rather we should recompense good with evil. We should not withold the good that is in our power to offer because the person we are offering it is evil. We need to do good to bad people for us to be true children of God because it's a characteristic of God to show mercy unto all men both the just and the unjust.
Isaiah 26:10
10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord.

We should abide by the Golden rule- giving unto others the same measure we would like to receive.
