Bible Exposition - 27th September, 2021.

These are the lessons learnt from the teaching of Bro. Eliseo Soriano on this Bible Exposition. This post addresses the response given to the questions raised.

Matthew 10:28 (NIV)

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Freely we have been given and freely we should give. No one should pay for whatever they receive in Church. Some pay for water and even for Baptism. This is not the true doctrine of Christ.

Also, contributions should not be received from those who are not a member of the faith since the Bible made us understand that the apostles went out and they took nothing of the gentiles.

How to be saved? It is about knowing the gospel of Christ and living by it. Confessing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and obeying His instructions.

God doesn't force anyone to repent because He has given every man freedom or free will to decide.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 (NIV)

When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.

Because God doesn't punish at once, mostly, they set their heart on evil doings which takes them away from God.

James 4:7 (NIV)

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

God won't force us and we are the ones to willingly yield ourselves to God. The moment we yield ourselves to Him then He can work in us by willing us to do good works.

God didn't force Adam and Eve. He left them to make their choices and they made their choice to sin.

God can purify our hearts or minds when we give ourselves to Him. God saved us in His mercy and not by our righteousness. God can renew and change us through the Holy Spirit when we submit ourselves to Him.
