Cactus Epiphyllum:
It's a plant of the cactus family, the genus is Epiphyllum.
It's native to Central America and South America, its common name is midnight lady.
It's an epiphytic plant which means that it grows like some orchids on the branches of wooded trees, taking advantage of the shade and humidity that these trees provide, but they can also be grown in pots. In fact these ones in my house are in pots.
The stems are stiff and tortuous, the leaves are elongated, with wavy edges and are also stiff, green in color, they don't have thorns.
It's a plant that develops flowers that only open at night. They are white flowers formed by abundant petals and that give off a very fragrant perfumed aroma. After they reach their maximum splendor during the same night that it opens, it dies. To have in the morning a flower fallen on its peduncle that supports it and withers.
They are cacti that do very well in semi-shade, because they do not tolerate direct exposure to the sun, they can grow very well in pots, where they hang very branched. This plant is young and has not yet developed the flowers.
Lastly, this plant needs humidity, but not waterlogging. Its soil always has to maintain an adequate level of humidity.
For its reproduction only one of the small stems of the plant is cut and then sown with a substrate with abundant organic fertilizer and recorded to maintain humidity.
This plant suffered from the invasion of a pest. She is a mother plant that I had to completely prune. Now she is bearing new leaves, and responding satisfactorily to radical pruning.

Es una planta de la familia de las cactaceaes, el género es Epiphyllum.
Es originaria de Centroamérica y de sudamérica. Su nombre común es Dama de medianoche.
Es una planta epifita o sea crece como algunas orquídeas en las ramas de los árboles boscosos aprovechando la sombra y la humedad que estos árboles les proporcionan.Pero también se pueden cultivar en macetas. De hecho estas en mi casa están en macetas.
Los tallos son rígidos y tortuosos, las hojas son alargadas, de bordes ondulados y también son rígidas, de color verde. No tienen espinas.
Es una planta que desarrollas flores que solo abren durante la noche. Son flores blancas formadas por abundantes pétalos y que desprenden un aroma perfumado muy envolvente. Después que alcanzan su máximo esplendor durante la misma noche en que se abre,la flor muere. Para tener en la mañana una flor caída sobre su pedúnculo que la sostiene y esta marchita.
Son cactus que se desarrollan muy bien en semisombra, porque no toleran la exposición directa al sol. Pueden crecer muy bien en macetas, donde cuelgan muy ramificadas. Esta planta es joven y aun no desarrolla las flores.
Por último esta planta necesita de la humedad, pero no encharcamiento. Su tierra siempre tiene que mantener un nivel adecuado de humedad.
Para su reproducción solo se corta uno de los tallos pequeños de la planta y se siembra con un sustrato con abundante abono orgánico y graba para mantener la humedad.
Esta planta sufrió de la invasión de una plaga. Ella es una planta madre que tuve que podar completamente. Ahora ella está teniendo hojas nuevas, y responde satisfactoriamente a una poda radical.
