This is my new acquisition, one of my clients brought her in exchange for another. I gave him an mother Opuntia Rúfida for this little succulent… I love it! I wanted to have this species for a long time.

Es mi nueva adquisición. Uno de mis clientes la trajo para que hiciéramos un cambio. Le di una Opuntia Rúfida madre por esta pequeña suculenta… Me encanta! Quise tener esta especie desde hace mucho tiempo.

Haworthia Reinwardtii:

It belongs to the Asphodelaceae family. Its genus is haworthiopsis and its species Reinwardtii. They come from Africa.

It is a succulent that does not have a large growth size; It does not exceed 40 cm in height. Its leaves are rigid, elongated and light green in color, in the shade. On the back of their leaves they have horizontal lines in white and in relief. And in its ventral part they are smooth, neither lines nor reliefs. They join in the form of a rosette without presenting a stem. But they grow columnar.

Haworthia Reinwardtii:

Pertenece a la familia Asphodelaceae. Su género es haworthiopsis y su especie Reinwardtii. Provienen de Africa.

Es una suculenta que no tiene un gran tamaño en su crecimiento. No supera los 40 cm de altura. Sus hojas son rígidas, alargadas y de color verde claro, en la sombra. En la parte posterior de sus hojas tienen líneas horizontales en color blanco y en relieve. Y en su parte ventral son lisas, ni líneas ni relieves. Se unen en forma de roseta sin presentar tallo. Pero crecen en forma columnar.

The succulent Reinwardtii is a perennial plant that tolerates direct sun exposure very well, but if it is placed under sunlight for a long time it can change the color of its leaves, from light green to dark green or it can even burn its leaves. It can also tolerate long periods without receiving water.

This is also an easy-to-use plant for beginners since it needs is minimal care.

La suculenta Reinwardtii es una planta perenne que tolera muy bien la exposición directa al sol. Pero si se coloca por mucho tiempo al sol directo puede modificar el color de sus hojas, cambiando de verde claro a verde oscuro o incluso se pueden quemar sus hojas. Tolera largos períodos sin recibir agua.

También es esta una planta de fácil manejo para principiantes ya que sus cuidados son mínimos.

Its flowering is carried out through a floral rod where in its terminal portion it presents the inflorescences of greenish white color.

It does not need abundant watering. The leaves accumulate a lot of liquid, so avoid giving it abundant and frequent watering, since excess can lead to rotting plants and their roots.

The substrate does not need many changes in the compost. If we fertilize once every six months with organic compost and maintain the drainage with stones, we will be able to have a haworthia plant for many years with it producing several children around it that, as they grow, we can transplant into a new pot.

Su floración la realiza a través de una vara floral donde en su porción terminal presenta las inflorescencias de color blanco verdoso.

No necesita de riegos abundantes. Las hojas acumulan mucho líquido por lo cual hay que evitar dar un riego abundante y seguido. Ya que el exceso puede llevar a podrir las plantas y sus raíces.

El sustrato no amerita de muchos cambios en el abono. Si abonamos una vez cada seis meses con abono orgánico y mantenemos el drenaje con piedras, podremos tener planta de Haworthia durante muchos años con producción de varios hijos a su alrededor. Que al crecer podemos trasplantar a una nueva maceta.

Thanks to the correction in time that my friend @nikv made me I was able to modify the name of my little succulent. I made the mistake with the species since its real name is Reinwardtii and not "Fasciata". Their resemblance is a lot. The same is one more species for my collection. As they have the same genus the general characteristics of the Haworthias do not change, they are the same.

Gracias a la corrección a tiempo que me hizo la amiga @nikv pude modificar el nombre de mi pequeña suculenta. El error lo cometí con la especie ya que su verdadero nombre es Reinwardtii y no "Fasciata". Su parecido es mucho. Igual es una especie más para mi colección. Como tienen el mismo género las características generales de las Haworthias no se modifican, son las mismas.
