Early morning at East beach

Some shots from a morning walk along East beach here in New Bedford.
its a nice Wide Sandy Beach that runs from the Harbor Walk to Fort Taber and there was some lovely light and colors this morning when I visited there.

If your wondering whats in the water, there was a water amusement park set up there for quite a while,, I went past there the other day and thats gone now, but the wide beautiful sandy beach is still there and nice to visit, I imagine it gets popular on a nice sunny day with many people enjoying the beach and water.

Getting to here and Fort Taber for sunrise is a bit of a pain, I got the beach parking permit for here, but across from the beach there are two reasonable sized car parks and Fort Taber itself has lots of parking, BUT....

Fort Taber gates do not open till after sunrise it seems, or just on sunrise and for my morning walks and sunrise shots I like getting tot he spot at least half an hour before the sun rises.

Now you may think thats not a problem as I mentioned car parks across the road from the beach, well seems they do not open early either they have chains blocking the entrance to the car parks.

Now the morning I took these shots I found a street opposite the pier shown in the first shot that did not have the no Parking or Resident only parking signs that most of the streets have so parked there and walked the beach and around Fort Taber, but the next time I went there seems all the streets have no parking signs, so either i missed them last time and parked illegally, or they just added them.

OK lets get back to the beach, this is at the same spot as the last shot but looking the opposite direction towards Fort Taber, the lights you can see coming across the water is the Pier at Fort Taber.

Now I will just justify and probably for myself as I am sure not many will scroll down and read this, but for my peace of mind I will say it.
I have been lucky to get some nice upvotes occasionally on my posts, which has lead to a few comments.
Comments like its only 5 photos how did you get so many votes on it with so little effort on the post.

Well here's my thoughts on that, I go out most days for at least an hour finding spots I think are interesting to take photos of, then when I get home I go through the photos I took, selecting which ones to edit.
Now editing photos can take time, when you take photos with a cell phone or even with a camera set on jpg mode it does the editing for you, I shoot in what is called RAW mode which means the camera captures all the data but does no adjustments.
I choose to spend time editing the photos myself, and depending on the type of photo, can take anything from a few minutes to 15 Minutes or more per photo.
So to me I am putting effort and time into my posts, its not as some thinK or say, your camera does amazing, sure it does but it has some help from me, in knowing the settings and then in editing.

and that's it, no need to comment on this I just needed to express it and let it go :)

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

You don't really have to justify yourself to anyone. You have been here for the long haul engaging and posting pretty much every day except when you had the family issues to take care of. Putting in that kind of time has more than earned you the votes that you are getting. Most people can't say the same and still expect to earn the same amount. Sometimes it is less about the content and more about the brand that you have built. Of course the content is always great. Nice shots!

Always giving quality photography to enjoy daily JJ, reality is many hours spent selecting then organizing before preparing to write.

I can see the draw of coming here, I do it myself to bask in all of this morning's glory. The first place I ever saw those signs was years ago in Florida, as the residents were having trouble parking in their own driveways. Usually during vacations times. When I saw them back home, it surprised me, but, it was about the time they started charging for parking on a public beach (I thought taxes covered that!) and things like that. Did you know Arlington doesn't open until sunrise? So unless I want to hop over the stonewall surrounding the cemetery, I am out of luck. The K9 dogs or some Marines would probably have me face down in the grass, so I wouldn't have to worry about getting pictures by then.

All I am saying is that it is an everyday challenge to get to these places and not always as easy as it looks. Now having said that, I want to say that I love the way you put your posts together, I like the feel it gives me, surrounded by the beauty of the day.

I hope you never tire of your early morning strolls, they sure give me a boost to my day! Hive on and have another amazing day.

Thanks so much, I do understand the no Parking on some streets otherwise during the peak of the day I am sure people would park there with no abandon and leave no space for those who live there,

I will one day get motivated to find a spot a few blocks away and walk by there again.

I may not so much tire of my morning walks over winter but not do so many when Winter hts and the temps drop, till then I will be out walking as often as I can

I think I have told you once before that I envy you for the long beaches you have and the amazing sunrises you get there, JJ, or maybe I have said it twice, but I think it whenever I see your posts, I'm jealous 😆

These people don't know you and all that you have done and still are doing on and for our blockchain, they don't know about your engagement and the many hours of your time you're investing daily.
These people also have no idea of how to take real quality photos and how much work it is to import the photos, tag and edit them at the computer. I bet if you make a post with 20 photos they will moan that there are too many images - I have got such a complaint once ;)

@bozz said the right words - it's also the brand you have built over the years.

It's all about the jealousy of the ignorant, like I said "envy" in the first sentence, but mine is real ... I know I want your beaches 😁

It's hard, but I have no !BEER for you today, JJ, but a little !invest_vote just to show you I try hard to slow down 😉

Thanks my friend I prepared this post the other morning and I guess I was in a funky mood I had forgot about it to be honest I guess I just needed to vent 😂

Yes I know you are envious of the beaches as I am of you with the mountains and waterfalls 😉

Cheers

It's annoying when people who don't even know anything about you think you don't deserve these upvotes. Just ignore them, my friend 😉

Yep, we have been talking about the greener grass in the neighbours garden before - if the Hive moons we should buy a huge yacht to cross the big pond and swap places for a while. Of course then I will not have a small apartment anymore, but a nice cottage in the mountains, maybe next to a beautiful waterfall 😀

Of course then I would have to upgrade here as well a big house with decks and a pool with views over the water

... and a private parking space which is open 24 hours or at least way before sunrise, because someone has told me that these are hard to find 😉

Oh my goodness!!! You always amazed me with the mode of your Photography, always looking radiant and sharp.. hehehehe

That aside.
I love how the beach looks like, maybe in a leasure time , one can decide to have a nice time in the beach, expecially during sunny day. Can't go to the beach during this time around, I'm gonna freeze...lol

The sunset is a wow! It brings out the beauty of the environment , was just imagining how good you're in taking this picture. Errrrrrrrrr, this is great!

And I must recommend the efforts you make in editing all this pictures. Taking a picture in raw mode and you made it to be presentable is indeed a great job!

Well I think these pictures are worth a thousand words, so please don't worry about those that speak in jealousy.
These are such amazing shots, its not about taking these images or editing alone, the fact that you have to be there at the right place at the right time to get such lovely shots to share it here with us.
Thank you for all you do.
