Waaahgwaan?

You can now use your JAHM Tokens to purchase Reggae and HIPHOP instrumentals on my website, on this page :https://irie876.com/product-category/digital-goods/. Of course it would be better if this was a shop by itself called the JAHM Shop, but this is my peroneal business I am implementing HIVE and JAHM Tokens payments with, so it is separate from ReggaeJahm.

But who is this for?

In my mind, vloggers ( of all types ), rappers, Reggae Dee Jays, game developers and animators will find value in this. ( Yes, there are very few of these talents on HIVE but I look toward the horizon).

  • A Vlogger can download a beat to use in their vlogs without any worry of copyright.
  • A Rapper, who wants to do freestyles or create a song can download and get to spitting.
  • A Game Creator could use a beat in gameplay.
  • An Animator could use a beat in their clips.

At the moment these tracks are only available in MP3 format, not suitable for professional recording of vocals on top of them, but it is possible if you know what you are doing. Depending on the interests, I will consider whether to make this be a sand alone shop with more robust features like MP3, WAV, Stems and more.

Edit: March 2nd, 2021, exclusive instrumentals now available for professional use.

So how can I buy a beat?

Simple, just click on the beat you like, ➡️ add it to cart, ➡️ proceed to check out ➡️ Choose HIVE, select the token of choice ( HIVE, HBD or JAHM ) ➡️ and sign with HIVE Signer. The prices may seem high in JAHM as the price of our beloved token is in the depths( for now ), so if you want to get your hands on some beats, buy some JAHM and start downloading.

The exact URL where the beats are, is below.

The good thing about purchasing digital goods is you don't have to input your address. Just an email and name. Then the Mp3 should be available in the email sent out, ready to download. Don't worry, expect no spam mail, and trust that we do not share your email with any third party.

You may notice that the main price is in yen 💴 and there is a lot of Japanese language on the site. Well that is because the shop is based in Japan 🇯🇵. I plan to separate the languages and have a menu one can toggle between for language and currency. I just haven't gotten around to it.

There are many payment options on the site and I plan to implement more. You can see them in the image below.

090ADC27B92547ADA6B88887E5BAAA19.jpeg

The site is a work in progress as I have recently redesigned it and changed cart system. I actually loved how it looked before but this new theme and cart gives me more flexibility without needing to call a dev.

Currently I have put up only 10 riddims in the shop. But keep in mind these are 10 exclusive riddims you won't find anywhere else. They are all produced by my younger brother who goes by the name MrFloridaKeyz. He is on the Blockchain, but like many, find it complicated...for now.

I was trying to find a way to bring value to JAHM, HIVE as well as my brother, and I think this is a good way. Individuals on HIVE can purchase beats for their creative purposes and my brother's brand will be spreading through the blockchain and beyond along with his music.

Not everything

You may notice that some consumable goods are available on my site and the JAHM and HIVE price are visible, but if you try the check out with an item that is not digital, the HIVE and JAHM payment options will not be available at checkout. ( If you know how I could turn off HIVE and JAHM prices for certain products, do tell in the commets). In a perfect world it would be good to offer these products for HIVE and JAHM but the markets aren't liquid enough ( specifically for JAHM that is ) and quickly transferring to fiat to procure more goods is important.

Also, the global logistics has also taken a beating thanks to covid and my business is feeling it. Most of the consumable goods on my site are sold out! But for me, I always pivot to the positive. What a wonderful time to experiment with crypto and my business and also to formulate a new strategy.

I was waiting for some prefect time and to perfectly finish my website before making a post but nothing is perfect, not even this blockchain I am typing on or the internet it relies on. So here is the experiment of combining my business with the blockchain. I hope you find value in it.

Hey mate, great idea to have some tunes available on your store for HIVE and JAHM. It's a good use case, and hopefully the start of something that grows and develops.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I'll try drop in more frequently and say G'Day.

Thanks man, just making use of what is around me and bringing it together.
Well, the seed is planted, I will nurture it and see how best it can grow.

No problem bro, I understand. You are always welcome! Bless Up!

Webshops accepting HIVE and other crypto's are definitely something we need more of. The usage will be low to super low wrt crypto's, I predict, but we have to start somewhere. If I could develop with code, I would've created something like this as well. More projects in the market (not based on HIVE) did or launching webshops for crypto's; Some have an currency exchange mechanism build into it; I think thats the way to go in the end, or at least for the moment until Webshops and cryptos become more mainstream... When that happens, we shall see how the world looks like and if we gonna end up with gazillion tokens and coins, or only a few :)

I'm wondering if somehow your efforts in your webshop can be upgraded to a webshop service to others, to those who want to run one, but can't develop one; ie this webshop to offer as a webshop-as-a-service to others who has something to sell? Another idea would be to develop this into some kinda ETSY model where all sort of sellers can offer their own products and sell and handle the distribution of the goods p2p?

Indeed we need more web shops accepting crypto but also people spending crypto. People at this point want to earn more crypto from their crypto or cash out.
For sure, I know people buying with any crypto will be low for now but it's all good to experiment with it before it starts. (If it starts)

You know I'm far from a developer, the HIVE payments and other crypto payments are all available as plugins for WooCommerce on Wordpress. If someone wants to build a web shop, Woocomerce is a must as it is powerful and easily customizable. Trust me, if I can do it anyone can. I’d definitely help someone trying to build one but web dev stuff as a service is not for me.

@aggroed mentioned before the fork he was working on such a P2P market where anyone could start a shop on hive engine, and Leo is gonna launch their p2p shop again soon as well as others. There is also someone working on a music store Etsy style but I'm not sure what is going on with it. At some point I’d love to start an Etsy type store though powered by JAHM but I need a dev on the team first 😆.

Getting devs is the difficult part. Am reaching out to some of them over the last months, but none respond.

Agree 100%, we need these initiatives, otherwise it'll never takeoff :)

Hmmm, sounds interesting. At least some of the devs involved in creating marketplaces. I do hope they take the right approach, which is not to stick to HIVE only, or just crypto payments; They need to include fiat payment options as well. Recently I was checking out Travala, a webshop for travellers (flights, accommodations). They take the right approach, fiat with all the usual payment options available, and added to that a whole bunch of crypto currencies they take as payments.

I'll be continuing me search for devs, or at least to bring my ideas what we can do with HIVE, what use cases are very interesting for HIVE to progress into the future. Soon I'll make a pitch for HIVE as a payment token, for webshops, but also for PoS...

Hey, a very late reply.

I actually got my first sale last week. 😄 but still far ways to go.

Hivepay by the CTP tribe and @jongolson is looking good. It is like they are thinking of all aspects of payments. I recently installed it in my woocomerce shop. It is pretty much plug and go.

I doubt they are gonna include fiat payments in the Hive-engine market place, I am not sure if it is even a thing anymore. But websites like mine and others can offer all the payments we want.

Yeah, a dev is hard to find, it might make sense to be one or get someone you know interested in learning.

get someone you know interested in learning.

Thats an approach, but with none experienced devs, not so good solutions will be build. Not a problem to work with some starting devs, but when I start spending considerable time on building a service, I'll take a 100% professional approach since I'll be trying to get the real businesses onboard. That really requires experienced devs. I like for HIVE to take the next step. So far so good: Most of the projects show passion and willingness to create something, but most of the projects lake a professional approach which is required to onboard the brands I'm thinking of.

Thats super cool!

To reach the mass, fiat is required. That said, adding fiat means dealing with the authorities and their regulations which is time consuming and one needs a serious business approach. Can't be a side project of some sort like many of the HIVE projects seem to be.

So cool, Bredda😉
Shop created...awesome!
But no exclusive rights on them beats for that price, right?

Well if someone bought a beat here they would have the right to reproduce and make copies of the original work; The right to publicly display the work. The right to perform sound recordings publicly through digital audio transmission on the beat, but they would not be the only person with these rights. The beats there now are unlimited, and can be purchased again and again by whoever. There will be a custom listing, where one could get an exclusive riddim built and they become the only owner. Let me know your thoughts, send me and email.

@JustinParke here on behalf of the ReggaeJAHM Community.

I wasn't aware of your Japanese website until this post, but I always assumed you probably had some kind of online presence there to sell Jamaican goods. I love seeing new ways we can spend HIVE, HBD and JAHM in the world beyond the blockchain. Any significane to the 876?

Your post is featured in our JAHMIN Posts Of The Week [October 26th - November 1st, 2020] Delicious Food, Caribbean Cowboys, Beats And More!!.

Since I found this community I have discovered I like ReggaeJAHM a lot, so thank you for having this post pinned or I would never have seen it.

I just spent time on hive engine and traded some hive for some JAHM, so I could purchase the African Riddim track for my partner and I to play around with some flow,...and also so I could help boost the JAHM token a little through participation. It took a little time to buy enough available orders but I didn't have any issues figuring out how to checkout using hivepay and my keychain. And now I have more JAHM to use, once I figure out how to comment where I can give it for posts (any instructions on that appreciated)

One love @dmilliz, and thanks to @mrfloridakeyz for the fun beat to see what we can lay on top of it!

p.s. I staked 5000 of my JAHM now as well. 😊

Hi, yes I woke up in the wee hourde roche je m’y email and saw that you purchased the African Riddim. The purchase of bears is a simple use case but one that has meaning to me as it involves family, music and a product that can be used in the real world as well as the digital. Hmmm will add more beats in the week. Looking forward to hearing what you guys come up with.

The jahm market doesn’t have much liquidity , a few flippers playing around but the truth is my real focus now is having a community filled with Irie people , everything else will manifest from that foundation.
Regarding seeing the jahm votes based on your stake check out http://reggaejahm.com/
It is our barebones interface for the community.

Really appreciate your presence in the community. Really adds to the positive vibes and brings a good dynamic and perspective.

Let’s keep it jahmin!!! Big ups on the 5,000 k jahm staked.
