Passing by a park just now I saw these ducks living their best life. No worries in the world at all. We humans are doing it wrong. There is also a nice quote about ducks I just read.

”Be like a duck. Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath.”

The ducks seemed to be used to the presence of humans as they were undisturbed by my presence...until I started snapping some pics and got really close. But as I stepped back, they went back to their resting positions overlooking the lake.

The ducks reminded me of a very huge riddim in Dancehall produced by King Jammy’s in 1988 called the Duck Riddim. That beat has some monster hits like “Gilbert” by loving Deer and “Duck Dance” by Red Dragon. Songs from Bounty Killer, Capleton, Papa SAN and many more. Here is a full mix to the Duck Riddim if you have the time

Here is the Duck Dance by Red Dragon. Real Dancehall fans will remember this one.

Below is ManuDigital recreating the Riddim. Man this is such a classic.

Gotta thank @trincowski for bringing back this initiative to my memory. I started it a few months ago but it didn’t take off. I guess we weren’t giving away prizes😂. It’s a very easy way to to get involved in the Reggaejahm community, especially if you like to take pictures

The APART initiative is very simple. All you have to do is use an original photo in your post and relate it to a Reggae song. Just like I did above. I may just turn this into a weekly contest.

Nice to see you bringing this back, as well! It's a good way to extend the Reggae Tribe to photographers! 😎

Yeah it’s a real simple way to blend reggae with photography and I agree attract photographers. Thanks for reminding me about #APART
