This song has me missing the bum draw from Jamaica. It’s interesting to see all the “weed dispensaries” that have popped up on the island, some of which can be seen in this video. Unfortunately I have never been to one. Luckily I had the opportunity to visit a couple in LA when they were officially legal.

Thunder, a young Japanese Reggae and HipHop artiste teamed up with new era Reggae roots artiste Yardcore on a track called JA to JA, meaning Jamaica to Japan. The video starts with Thunder touching down at the airport and the first thing he does as he enters the awaiting car is get a spliff and lighting up. Bliss!

The song actually sounds good and pays homage to the land of the organic high grade, Jamaica. The lyrics are well put together and I have to give props to Thunder for grabbing a hold of patois/English, not many Japanese can accomplish this.

Yardcore is one of my favorite new era roots artistes. He has a flow that is versatile, to the point and at the same time easy for anyone around the world to comprehend.

Take a listen to the track below.

A Japanese guy JAHMin hard to reggae vibes he's creating. Now that's a sight to see.

The crossing of cultures makes me think of this Heavy Metal Reggae tune by Skindred

Interestingly there is a big reggae scene here. They don't even need the real deal anymore LOL.

That name sounds familiar, I shall check out out when I get a chance.

Japan seems to be good at adopting different cultures.

Did you see the embedded YouTube link in my previous comment by any chance?

Just took a listen. What a blend of genres. Wouldn't be surprised if this style gets popular amongst Jamaican artiste in a few years.

Yeah, it's an old song, but it might catch on again. Especially now that cultures becomes less and less divided each day.

Hello Dean. How do you doing, Bredda?

I have a question:
I made a Riddim rhythm base that I would like to publish, but I would like to make a video since I did not record myself playing the instruments. Maybe a video showing images while my base sounds.

What do you think brother? Could you give me an idea, please?

ps: I wrote to you DM at Discord.
Jah Bless.
