Checked out some new JAHMZ yesterday as I had little time after a long ass day. For me, I like to hear the new instead of venturing into the past...unless its some BIG tunes. But I like to hear the vibrations of the times and that is what music is to me. Positive message or stunna flows, love em all. Art is art.

Lets check out those tunes I discovered.

This wailers ft Skip, Farruko, Shaggy and Cedella Marley with World Prayer is a good tune for the times. It calls for change and love instead of hate. I really think we need to live this. Too much hate in the world and the funny thing is it drains our energy as well as the ones it is inflicted upon. Gratitude, Joy, peace and love is what we should practice, don't let the ego get the best of yah. I give this one 8/10

This new Alka, Ocean-Wave has a positive message, what I didn't get was the reference to a tsunami hitting Jamaica due to an asteroid and the kid in the video on the hill overlooking the sea at the end while his parents came to his "rescue" but he is nowhere to be seen....and then Alka is by a lambo? But the main point/message is.."we create waves".

This Wizkid ft Lil wayne called Cash Out must be a big deal for Wiz's fans, doing a collab like that will get your name around the globe ( not like it wasn't there already). I like that Wiz kept his natural accent and didn't try to sound like a rapper but just flowed his own way on the ballerrific track. Wayne is back, not sure I dig his new tunes but he does him.

Tee Jay and his new video called Moon Light brings that raunchy raw dancheall flavor in highly sexual video. I really think Jamaican men have a way of expressing how they feel about sex to the opposite sex in a way that is vulgar yet poetic and I think a lot of girls dig it. ladies, you like that dirty talk yeah? well it doesn't get any dirtier than a Jamaican Dancehall tune.

Jahmeil brings us Lights Off, now this is a more romantic than raunchy dancehall tune. Of course there are sexual lyrics but hey... we ain't noting but mamals. Unlike the one night stands of most Dancehall tunes, Jahmeil is taking it a bit further...a week maybe? lOL, nah he is on some lovy dovy vibes with this one.

Gunna with Wunna isn't Reggae or Danchall but it was shot in location in Jamaica it seems. I can barely understand what he is saying but it sounds cool asf. Stunna, summer, bummer LOL. Tripy smurf pills rap...but hey it is cool.I know many won't like it, but those trap beats have a vibe.

Gage brings us Hold it a positive message prevalent in Dancehall and can't be said enough ( especially in these times). No matter how hard things get, "mi a guh hold it". I cool tune to keep the vibes up.

Well I don't expect you to listen to all these songs ( unless you area DJ or really love Reggae/HipHop music) But if you do, which song do you like best?

I love this music especially Saltar Marley has a lot of rhythm and energy and sings in Spanish thanks for brightening up this music which transmits a good message greetings friend

They are all great but I feel a certain attraction to the Marley legacy and her new talents.

Hey man, thanks for stopping by. Glad to hear you love the genre. 20 years is a good time frame to see the changes that have taken place in Reggae. Feel free to post some insight, tunes or even your own jamz in the reggaejahm community.
