The Farmer #APART

This is a sight I see many days as I walk a little distance from work. This farmer tending to his scellions. In different seasons it would be a different crop. I can’t remember what he was planting before but I know he sticks to one crop at a time... unless he has another field somewhere else.

Of course the farmer 🧑‍🌾 wasn’t even aware I was taking pictures of him and admiring the well lined fields of scallion. In Japan, even in moderately developed areas, farms like this can be found. Rice fiends seem to make up most of them for obvious reasons.

At this moment, as I am typing this, I can imagine the frogs 🐸 in harmony at their mating fet as I used to live near to one of these fields. It is a sound that to some may find annoying but to me it was a joy to hear. It made me realize that the summer months and rainy season were upon us and how ecosystems develop from working the fields.

@tanjakolader recent posts got me thinking how important it is for us all to be self sufficient in these times and go back to the days when many worked the fields. But right now I don’t even own a plot of land. But there is always a way as @missaj has showed us with his mini farm on his balfony ( it’s balcony 😂 that is an inside Jamaican joke).

Right now, I feel the most well positioned people for this new world are the ones working the fields and working the tech. It is literally the best of both worlds. The physical nutrients from the land, and the technological advancements of the cyber world. When I see people like @mattsanthonyit, who is living within these two worlds, it makes me 🤔, that is the way to a sustainable and abundant future.

And on the theme with best of both worlds, the Jamaican artiste known as Yaksta aka bush lord sends that exact message out there. I know the youths around the world can resonate with this one. It speaks of farming, raising animals and also talks about FX and cryptocurrency. The new era is of self sufficiency and an understanding financial technologies.

Ah, this is such a breathtaking song, in the sense of how the artists has a clear vision of the future. We'll always need food and crypto/cashless money is a future that's very near.

And, haha I had to get used to the sounds of frogs when my parents first moved us from the city to the rural life, but now it's part of the surrounding orchestra of sounds when the night falls.

I don't know, city life is good but if nature isn't near by I can't feel relaxed.

Yes! Mek we stack up ⬆️ on crypto before the masses get here , so many of my fb contacts now getting into crypto, same ones I've been telling fir years, finally on the wagon 😆 December looking good , future looking bright!

Oh that's nice, that more people are getting involved. On the one hand I want to help as many people as I could by informing them, but on the other hand the majority here isn't ready to accept or understand it yet. But I'm patient and just keep on learning and hopefully when people are ready, I'll know enough to help them in the process.

Orchestra is right! 😂!
🤣🤣

I don't know yet what I would prefer; city or rural life. The first would be easy for work and having a lot of (entertainment) facilities nearby, but in Suriname "city life" is not the same as in developed countries, so it's not as loud. I do enjoy the privacy I get with rural life.

Thanks for this article BRO. Agriculture is sweet and for me it the best you can ever practice because living each day with the green vegetation is like giving oneself everlasting joy. How I Wish so many feet of nowadays can go into farming to encourage more people to join no matter how rich you are. Farming involves practical task in order to achieve any aim and objectives. In your article you said a lot of things and I will also encourage individual gardening, like the frontyard, backyard, successful a very little space to practice your and culture. Is also leading more people are right through your post and articles.

Thanks for the response man. Farming is indeed practical and a skill that will never go out of style. And I can imagine the joy in watching the fruit of your labor along with nature sustaining life and the cycle within. I can also sense the spiritual part of framing and how it helps keep one grounded and balanced.
Blessings bro, we don't talk much but mad respect.

This is so true, gotta combine tech and agri-life. Cambodia is already living in the future as far as farming and food systems are concerned, and everybody has access to a cheap Chinese smartphone. The next step is introducing crypto and blockchain related things so the farmer in the bush can link up with a farmer in the bush in some other corner of the world.

That would be a small destruction of borders. Bless up!
