Exploring "Cadini del Brenton" in Mis Valley, Province of Belluno - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Hello everyone, today I'll take you to Cadini del Brenton, in the Mis Valley in the Province of Belluno.
A very particular place because of the water that, with its passage, has smoothed, over the centuries, some very special water basins in succession.

Ciao a tutti, oggi vi porto ai Cadini del Brenton, nella Valle del Mis in Provincia di Belluno.
Un luogo molto particolare per via dell'acqua che, con il suo passaggio, ha levigato, nel corso dei secoli dei catini d'acqua in successione davvero particolari.

To reach the Cadini del Brenton you have to park your car on the lado Mis and cross the driveway bridge on foot.

Per raggiungere i Cadini del Brenton bisogna parcheggiare l'auto a bordo del lado Mis e attraversare a piedi il ponte carrabile.

It is a nice spot to observe the mountains that surround the valley.

E' un bel punto per osservare le montagne che circondano la valle.

In the warmer months there are many people who decide to sunbathe by the lake, in fact even that day in August, there were many people, some playing in the water.

Nei mesi più caldi ci sono moltissime persone che decidono di prendere il sole a bordo lago, infatti anche quel giorno di agosto, c'erano molte persone, alcune che giocvano in acqua.

I thought there were fewer visitors due to Covid, instead there were a lot of tourists, but luckily everyone kept their distance and used the mask.

Pensavo ci fossero meno visitatori a causa del Covid, invece c'erano molti turisti, ma per fortuna tutti mantenevano le distanze e usavano la mascherina.

The path to get to the site is flat, it takes about 15 minutes in the shade of the trees to reach it.

Il sentiero per arrivare al sito è pianeggiante, ci vogliono circa 15 minuti all'ombra degli alberi per raggiungerlo.

The cadini are natural pools on rocks arranged in terraces.
The water falls from one cadin to another through small waterfalls.

I cadini sono delle vasche naturali su rocce disposte a terrazzamenti.
L'acqua cade da un cadino all'altro tramite delle piccole cascate .

I have never seen anything like it, the water in the natural pools flows clockwise, then in the next cadin counterclockwise and again in the opposite direction in the next one!

Non ho mai visto niente di simile, l'acqua nelle vasche naturali scorre in verso orario, poi nel cadino succesivo in senso anti orario e di nuovo in senso opposto in quello seguente!

A wooden bridge allows you to pass over the cadini, the view is very impressive.

Un ponte di legno permette di passare sopra i cadini, la vista è molto suggestiva.

I wanted to dive into one of those mini pools!
I'm sure someone has done this in the past, before this place became touristy.

The stepped path runs along the water jumps and you can see the cadini with the water from every point.

Il percorso a gradini costeggia i salti d'acqua e si riesce a vedere da ogni punto i cadini con l'acqua.

At a certain point another wooden bridge brings you back to the initial bank and from there you can go back to the starting point through a staircase.

Ad un certo punto un altro ponte di legno riporta sulla sponda iniziale e da lì attraverso una scalinata si può risalire al punto di partenza.

Even the uphill stairway is very suggestive, I manage to have interesting perspectives on the Cadini.

Anche la scalinata in salita è molto suggestica, i riesce ad avere interessanti prospettive sui cadini.

The visit lasts half an hour but I must say that I really enjoyed it, first of all I found it very interesting.

There is also a small botanical garden, nothing extraordinary, but still pleasant.
