Charming Castle
Wildegg Castle is majestically placed on a hill and surrounded by an imposing garden.
It was founded in the first half of the 13th century by the Habsburgs and later inhabited by the noble von Effinger family. Today, Wildegg Castle is a residential museum with about 37 living and working rooms of the noble family.
It was characteristic feature of the 18th century way of life to combine functional with beautiful for the eyes. An 3'300 m2 large kitchen garden and pleasure garden invites soon here to stroll, smell and wonder.
Vegetable and herb gardens were very varied, today 80% of the original plant are unfortunately extinct.
June is the main flowering time of the historical roses here.
From there by beautiful weather you have a wonderful view of the Swiss Alps.
