Satisfying - Styrofoam Hot Wire Cutting - Ciudad Fallera - How to Make a Ninot - Valencia

This might be the most satisfying thing you'll see all day today - a Fallas artist cutting out a horse from a styrofoam block. He uses a hot wire to cut into the styrofoam like soft butter. This technique is called Foam Cutting!

It's so much fun to watch but the sound of the wire going through the foam is kind of like running long fingernails over a chalkboard (does this reference even make sense these days anymore?)

After several years we went back to pay a visit to the Fallas Artist workspaces of Cuidad Fallera - even though Fallas got cancelled last year there were still some preparations going on for a possible Fallas 2021 but planned hopefully later this year.
