Exciting trip on the island of Padar

Many exciting activities we did for two days sailing in the vast complex of the Komodo National Park. A good area of land and sea alike spoil our sense of sight. One of them is trekking. At least three times we were trekking in this area: on Kelor Island, at Loh Buaya, on Padar Island.

The latter is the most challenging terrain. And most often appears in the photos of the traveler. I first saw photos of Padar Island in a backpacker group on social media. Very cool view. Very instagrammable, in contemporary terms. And Padar Island seems to have become a semi-compulsory destination for traveler visitors to the Komodo National Park. I often see him in various traveling-themed blogs.

When I wanted to tour Komodo National Park on a wooden boat for two days, I did not participate in arranging the itinerary. Everything determines Pak Ahyar, the captain of the ship that we rented. We visited Kelor Island, Loh Buaya, swimming in the middle of the sea, Padar Island, Kanawa beach and Angel Island. Everything is nothing disappointing.

Unfortunately there is no public transportation to Padar Island. The average visitor to this island are those who take a tour or rent a boat themselves. Boat tours in these waters can be found easily in Labuan Bajo. Precisely on the main road of Sukarno - Hatta. Lots of operators offer tours with certain destinations.

Padar Island itself is the third largest island in the region. After Komodo Island and Rinca Island. They say there are dragons on this island too. But certainly not in our area of trekking. Because there was no visible ranger there. The place mark is safe to visit.

Hiking Padar Island

Towards the Komodo National Park
Cakep right, the view!
Our group arrived at Padar Island on the second day. In the morning around 7 o'clock, our ship has begun to move closer to shore. if you want to see the sunrise you should leave even earlier. And conversely, if you want to enjoy the sunset, start climbing in the afternoon. At 7 o'clock in the morning in July, the day began to feel hot.

We slowly climbed. At that time on the first incline there were no wooden stairs. And there are no handles. Very dangerous. Even though it's not the rainy season, the road is quite slippery, because the slope is pretty steep. Plus the road conditions in the form of mixed soil rock. Some joined in landslides when stepped on foot. However, according to the latest news, corroborated by evidence in the form of a photograph of a friend of mine, there are wooden stairs to help the climbers.

Just climbing the first stage, I'm already tired, aka a sweat bath. In the middle of the first ramp stop, do not dare look back. It will definitely be nervous and head throbbing. better look up ajah.

The first stage passed, continued the next stages. The climb in the savannas is not too steep. But it's quite long. And there are no trees at all. If you are tired in the middle of the road, there is no place to shelter. shelter is under a large rock. however, at noon, the shadow changes direction So that there is almost no shelter at all.

Sail Komodo

Beautiful views of the
toughest Komodo National Park on rocky routes about three-quarters of the way from the top of Padar Hill. So the nature of Padar Island which is used as this route, the place is in the form of a row of hills. With several peaks. The hills are slightly overgrown with trees. More like savanna hill. In summer, it looks rather gate. In the rainy season, the grass is fresh green.

According to the experiences of previous travelers, to be able to reach one of the peaks of the Bukit Padar, we must climb approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. For me, it's more like it. Many stops. The heart beats much faster. Oxygen runs out quickly, I often feel out of breath. But how come it feels loss, already struggling but not getting to the destination.

Father and children arrived first. If you go through a rocky road, you have to be extra careful. There is a stone footing, but even more slippery, because people have often passed. Like stones that are often polished.

Actually, what are you tired of climbing Padar Hill for? For the sake of a beautiful panorama it should be, yeah. From the top of Padar Island, the panorama is in the form of coves on the edge of the island. Each small bay-shaped basin on the edge has white sand. The sunken beaches are not continuous. they are bounded by rock cliffs. Wow, really wow. Like it. Alhamdulillah we got fine weather. Can see other small islands until the horizon.

Stunning beauty from the top of Padar Hill
and the beaches are empty. Duhhh really tempting. In the waters of the Komodo National Park, empty beaches aren't counted. Just select. As long as you can rent a boat, you can go one by one. And if you go to the beach like this, don't forget to bring back the garbage that we produce, yes! I was sad when I saw plastic bottles scattered in the sea. Not only make a pair of eyes, there are foreign objects floating in clear sea water. Even sadder to see a row of garbage on Padar Island. Too bad a beautiful view like this must be littered with garbage. Worried also that this garbage will affect our alut ecosystem, gaes.

No loss why climbing here. For me, all sports remove fat from the body. If you've previously practiced and maintained stamina first, even better. Oh yes, if you can wear adequate shoes. Reducing the risk of foot blisters. And if the shoes are special soles, the footing becomes stronger, it's not easy to slip.

When we went there, there were not too many visitors to Padar seh. The ship which is anchored near the beach is also not up to ten seeds. One of the ships has one of Indonesia's tycoons. Large sailing ship. Comfortable and luxurious it seems.

At that time there were only dozens of tourists. Mostly local tourists. There are foreign tourists, but meet briefly. They walk like a flat road. Fast.
