How important was your date of birth for Astronomy?

No, this post has nothing to do with astrology and all the bollocks behind it. All the machines in the hospital and medical personnel doing the delivery had bigger gravitational effect on you during the birth than any planet in the Solar system (this is actually confirmed fact with the proper calculation).

So what is this nonsense all about?
I've already written a bunch of articles about Hubble, Spitzer, James Webb, Chandra? and other space telescopes and their usage and benefits in Astronomy. The latest one being about HST Calendar.

Hubble is about to mark 30 years in space - that's a lot of time in space and the harsh environment - it exceeded the best expectation - and still provides AMAZING scientific data, not just beautiful picture - tho beautiful pictures form Hubble is why non-astronomers have this beautiful vision of space!

Anyways - to mark the birthday... NASA has come up with this brilliant idea; you put in the date of your birthday - and you get the image observed on that date.

What's your lucky space observation?
Let me know in the comments and let's see a beautiful collection of HST images down below. Once again, I've got this NGC 3310 - its a beautiful spiral galaxy, that probably encountered collision with one of the satellite galaxies. It is positioned in the most iconic constellation on Northern hemisphere - Ursa Major, at 42 light-years away from Earth.

Interacting Galaxies Arp 81
Arp 81 is a pair of interacting galaxies consisting of NGC 6621 (center) and NGC 6622 (left). The encounter has pulled a long tail out of NGC 6621 that has now wrapped behind the pair.

I don't understand much in this subject matter, but the fact that these are two galaxies interacting, amazes me enough.

NICE! :)
Throughout some time we have detected various cases of interacting galaxies (on-going collisions). :)

For example, Milky Way- Andromeda collision would be seen as interacting galaxies from a distant point in time and space. :)

star forming region.png

A star-forming region N11B. Which is quite dope!

Quite fun just seeing what all the different dates in a month discovered.

Even if you refresh the page you will not get the same image for the same date :)

To be honest, never heard of this one, but really looks dope!
