CCC's Street Art Contest #10 : Tchekon, Montreal
10th edition of the contest hosted by @digi-me, CCC's Street Art Contest #10 is on... So if you have Street Art photos to share, feel free to post them. It would be interesting to see murals from all over the world.
For this edition, I propose Tchekon's work for the coffee shop Le Moineau Masqué (The Masked Sparrow) sur Marie-Anne Street in Montreal (good expresso by the way) :
Difficult to take a picture because it is in the small backyard of the café (and still no wide-angle lens 😀)
Vania Tchekoff aka Tchekon is a French artist based between Bordeaux (France) and Montréal (Canada). He often uses geometric and abstract forms in his works. I'm not sure if he's still active in Montreal now. I didn't see other works done by him and no more news on his blog... Too bad.
Who : | Tchekon |
How : | Graffiti |
Where : | Corner Avenue Napoleon Street and Saint Dominique Street |
When : | Unknown |
Some years ago, I took a picture of his mural about climate change that I like very much (the mural not climate change), unfortunately even more relevant today :
And to finish this post, the logo of Le Moineau Masqué that I like too :
Interesting & beautiful murals!
Awesome mural, that deserves some recognition. Too bad I didn't visit your post earlier to give you a vote. Will you accept a !BEER instead?
