CCC's Street Art Contest #23 : Phlegm, Montreal
Here my entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #23 with a great mural done by Phlegm during the 2013 Mural Festival :
The building next door has just been destroyed. This allows to have another view on this work.
Phlegm is a Welsh street-artist and illustrator based in Sheffield (UK). His work has always a lot of detail with a dark and mysterious style. He chose his pseudonym in memory of the doctors of ancient Greece who thought that this fluid was responsible for apathetic and emotionless temperaments.
"Boredom is the worst insult you can do to life". - Phlegm
Here photo take during the 2013 Festival :
I like that the artist did his mural knowing the history of the place. In fact, the Berson family manufactured funerary monuments until 2015 in the workshop located just below the mural as you can see on this photo taken also in 2013 with a temporary work done by Phlegm
