GAMING PHOTOGRAPHY-The loneliness of the snow

The long dark is a game that I really like that invites us to a survival adventure that is a little more extreme than other survival games. We get into the skin of Mackenzie who is looking for his wife in this place. I decided to resume a game that I had not advanced since 2021, from my adventure in chapter 4 of the story in this very challenging mountain town.

The experience has many levels of difficulty because on the one hand we have basic survival: hunger, thirst, sleep, wounds, but it adds something that adds the environment, the cold, our worst enemy in this whole game for many reasons. It is not simply eating something hot or having a coffee, which are the options that the game offers us. Having the right coat, which is in good condition, is more than necessary, otherwise we can get sick quickly and the cure for wounds or illnesses is not abundant out there.

In the long dark the vast forest swallows us up directly, getting lost is very easy, the cold is everywhere, we can't sleep anywhere, the fire doesn't light so easily, and the resources we have are quite limited.

The nights are the worst and the best of the game, it will always depend on where and how we are, if we are in the forest then we will die and very quickly, the wolves that exist in the game are aggressive and sometimes attack in pairs, which is very dangerous, they can even tear our clothes, but the worst is that they leave us wounds that are difficult to heal if we don't have the resources.

When leaving, other things can happen besides the wolf attack, there are also bears, luckily in my game that didn't happen, but the storm did start to hit me hard, forcing me to urgently look for a place where I could make fire, coffee and continue traveling.

The experience in The Long Dark is very immersive for me, it is interesting but also very challenging, where we are going to face so many dangers that the game requires our maximum concentration, it is my favorite survival game at the moment.
