fixing an old computer 🤪🔧🖥️

Namaskar / Hello to all hive users, who will reach this post. I hope you are doing great and having fun in your life and enjoying it with your loved ones.

The last two days were very hactic for me, I did get a job fixing an old computer. (I don't do that full time just I do love to do that)
I am not a professional though I just do fix computers a little I can exchange parts, install windows, and software (cracked one too 😅), clean it, and a few more things. I used to do that work year back with one of my friends but now I don't. I did say yes to this job he was a known person to me so I can't say no to him that was the problem.

I thought it will be get fixed soon but unfortunately, that did not happen 🙂. I was busy with that yesterday and I did give up on that. I thought that is not going to be fixed.🙃
I did open the CPU today and clean it all up from RAm to the SMPS 😇, almost every part but that did not work at all.

I just search about that on the internet and I did find many video tutorials and blogs on that. The problem is that the system was not responding if I do open any browser on it. I was thinking to install the windows again but I have to save the data too (yes it is possible if I do install new windows). I don't want to do all things 😇 after all it was a free job. 😉

Thanks to the internet especially youtube there are thousands of videos on that I watched many videos and applied the common things that most of them were doing in their videos.
finally, I did see the progress on the PC. Still, it was not working properly it has windows 7 on it 😜. In the end, I have to visit them and fix it there guess what it did work in the last. I hope it will work fine for a few more years 😅. If they will call me again I said please buy a new one this is not going to work anymore 😇.

Greetings brother, I hope you are very well, how great that you were able to help someone with the issue of your computer, although it is much better when you get paid, however, when you do what you like you enjoy it anyway, good that you had the constancy to repair the equipment, success in your post.

I usually repair computers, before I put them together to sell, but these days there are not many sales. I really enjoy repairing equipment that is discarded by others and bringing it back to life. I hope the repair you made will last a long time.

Aha that is really a good thing sir, i have seen your posts on the repairing equipment surely you are good at that.
I do love to do that but still I am not a pro 😅, i just do it sometimes it get repaired sometimes not.

If you like to empower an old computer beyond its limits try to get an SSD (even a little one theese days there is not much data to store) and with something like 50usd you will get an incredible boost! Remember that hard drives are also used as a "swap memory" (kind of emulated RAM) its highly recomeded! I have a lot of experience restoring old computers that way!

Thanks for the suggestions 😄, you know what I did that yesterday. Although it has 256 GB ko HDD still it was really very slow. now with the new SSD the old pc is on fire. Investing in SSD is really worth it.

I hope they won't ask you to fix it again but if they do, you might wanna go with your thought and have them buy a new one, lol! It can be fun to fix and troubleshoot computers but it's just time-consuming.

He hee actually i did, the old HDD is replaced by the brand new SSD and it is working super smooth now.
Yes it was time consuming and have to spend some some money too 😅
