The caturday Peanut update

avatar

People have been asking about Peanut so it's time he made an appearance

I've had this little guy for over a year now and what a character he is: still terrified of other people although he's showing signs of trusting my neighbour: he doesn't run away on sight.

5.jpg
A relentless hunter, he's spotted a gecko here

4.jpg
He's decimated the skink population in the garden and all I can hope for is that he gets bored of them as he gets older. All the others did eventually. He still has a large appetite for rats, mice and birds.

2.jpg
A rare moment of rest...

Tormenting his uncles as usual. He's lucky Toffee is patient and playful

I took him for his vaccinations the other day and he's still treating me with suspicion, it will take a while for him to get over the betrayal although I don't intend to take him to the vet again unless he gets sick.

3.jpg
His favourite scratching post.

Peanut will probably never be a confident cat but he's much loved member of the household. I'm so glad this tiny little kitten decided to walk into my workplace late one Friday night, he's brought a lot of joy and I'm glad he didn't end up a feral or permanently in hiding at the cat shelter as a unsociable kitten that couldn't be homed.

I'm glad he's still retained his macho-ness (with his hunting instinct) even after he's found his home with you, and not a feral... :)

Ohhh Peanut! What a nice big cat he is :)

And you probably need to chop up that echeveria on the first photo. And I see a nice cactus on 3rd :p

Yes and yes :) the cactus in the third picture is my most indestructible cactus. More than 12 years old and has survived all kinds of abuse

I really love him, especially because of her fur tone. It may sound silly but the raccoon feeling on the cat makes him look more attractive, I guess.

Yes, what we call the Siamese look is irresistible for people. In fact, he's a kind of albino

His coat is so beautiful and he's grown so much! The way you describe his character reminds me of my little Jango.

She is dark! It will depends on 2 things: ambient temperature and blood flow to the skin. Remember that a Siamese pointed coat is a form of albinism that's temperature sensitive. So her body temperature on the cooler side. This far, Peanut is lighter in summer and darker in winter. I think it will also depend on whether he puts on weight

It's still an adorable cat. It's big and beautiful. Although it's a big naughty it's a good specimen with his poses and his colors that I love.

Peanut is so cute, I love these images. Especially the one where he torments his uncle.
Please tell Peanut not to eat birds and butterflies.
