Hi fellow Beer fans,

Today I'm back with another edition of Beer Saturday! This one is a new beer company for me.

Beer Saturday: Local

One of the great things about keeping an eye on what we spend is to make sure when you spend money, if you can, buy from a company that's local! The best thing we can do to support our local families is to purchase their goods.

This beer company is one I haven't seen before but I think there are a good amount of breweries in the New Hampshire mountains area. I've seen a number of ones saying they are in the White Mountains or near Mount Washington. This one here is one of those. Tuckerman's is a pretty serious ravine on the Mount Washington range that a lot of people who are into hiking or snow sports will want to venture to at some point when they are still interested in the adrenaline rush. A few friends of mine years ago snowboarded Tuckerman's and it was one of the most intense experiences of their lives they say! I don't know if I'm willing to do that nowadays lol.

Outside of hiking or boarding Tuckerman's you can enjoy a beer in the namesake! That's my kind of craziness right now lol. I will hike something a bit more passive instead of the crazy ravine.

The beer was a good one, had more of a citrus note than some of the other IPA's that I've had recently but it was enjoyable for sure. I think it was a little more bitter than some of the other ones but not too terrible. I don't know if I would buy this one in particular again but the nice thing about the stores around here is they have all kinds of different local breweries to offer their beers! Hard to remember some of the names of ones I've had lol
How has your local brewery search gone? Hopefully you've found some gems you enjoy!

Our local ones are a bit rough; they are pretty lazy on QA and water quality, but they have a big following. I always feel bad when I opt for something other than theirs, but I'm a beer snob, lol. The last time I drank their beer I spent like $7 USD for a pint of their hazy, and it was super green. No thanks!

Ugh that sucks man! I hate when that happens. I’ve thankfully not really had a bad experience like that, that I can remember. It would turn me off for sure. Did you let them know it was trash? I would’ve lol

Oh yeah, they don't care, lol. They know they have a cash cow on their hands under the "local" brand. I guess you can continue to be lazy as long as cash keeps rolling in.

Love the beers in this area. There's a couple of places I still want to visit

Yeah I know there's a bunch of good breweries in the mountains area! I don't know if we will visit the breweries themselves but grabbing them from the store is nice to explore what we've got locally! I don't really buy Sam Adams anymore, did one recently but these folks need the money more than the big ones do!

Yeah drinking beer out of the Stella glass is great! I haven't had a Stella beer in the glass in a long time but it's my favorite beer glass for sure lol

The beer was decent! I don't know if I would get it again but I certainly enjoyed it! The can is what got me to buy it. I like when they put in some effort!
