Beer Tasting: Weißbier Hell & Perlenzauber Hopfenweisse & Rieder Bock

Hello, dear beer tasters! 🍺 🍻 😎 🍻 🍺

This is the last round. I don’t mean beer at all, but my “Bier Tasche XXL” collection. I have to deal with this all of December and even this first week of January. I'm not saying there's anything wrong, some beers have been great so far, I'm satisfied.

Since I like photo collages (which you probably already noticed from my previous posts, haha) I also quickly made one for this post. The background is my photo of Bier Tasche XXL. Photo is blurred, and the drifter in the glass of beer is from the user DigiPD/Pixabay.

I already mentioned it is the last round, I have three beers left for today. I'll have to remember something in the future ...

Wieninger Weißbier Hell

Brewed by Privatbrauerei MC Wieninger, Teisendorf, Germany. Weisbier-Hefeweizen style, which means (in short) refreshing German wheat beer. Bottle, 0.33l, alcohol 4.9% ABV.

Orange in color, solid foam. The first sip is full and rich tastes. Wheat dominates, aromas of honey, bananas, and citruses are intensive with a good present of clean bitterness of the hops.

Very pleasant, a classic wheat beer, easy to drink. I'd like to have it in my fridge regularly.

Perlenzauber Hopfenweisse

Brewed by Kauzen-Bräu, Salzburg, Austria. Wheat Ale-India/Hopfenweisse style which means, it's a hoppy wheat beer that can display more hop character and less yeast character. Bottle, 0.33l alcohol 5% ABV.

Golden in color, strong, stable foam. The first sip goes smoothly with a lot of tastes in parallel. Fresh flavor, initially a lot of citruses, then slightly yeasty. Could taste a little more like wheat. Delicious, I can say, but if I had to choose between Hefeweizen and Hopfenweize I would choose the former.

Rieder Bock

Brewed by Brauerei Ried, Ried, Austria. Weissbier-Weizenbock style, which means that is a strong, malty, fruity, wheat-based ale. Bottle, 0.33l, alcohol 6.5 ABV.

The beer is very cloudy and very firm foam. Intensive taste of fruits and malt, slightly fermented. A bit bitter in the aftertaste, but not unpleasant. It's good to drink - but it’s also nothing extraordinary. For one tasting it's just fine but for my fridge? Well, I would pick the first two first.

Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know? The melody goes very quickly to the ears of this indie band, by the way: this video has over a billion views ...
