Sometimes you just gotta slap some sense into them... Figuratively, of course!

    I've heard this one a few too many times from the likes of NeoCalvinists. The technical term that may be used for their variation of Christianity which isn't biblical nor Christian, mind you, is Neonomian (From Greek "New Law").

Oh but they went to Seminary for a formal theological degree and education?!

    So did the scribes and Pharisees but that didn't seem to stop Christ, now did it? Even as a boy, the Great Physician was schooling doctors.

Luke 2:41-47 KJVS
Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. [42] And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

[43] And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.

[44] But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.

[45] And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.

[46] And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
[47] And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

    Don't you get it? What we have today in the world of oppressive false religion is the contemporaries of the scribes and Pharisees. They bludgeon you with their doctrine. They rob you of your joy.

     But they have not the Spirit which gives us words to speak with a profundity that exceeds years of intellectual striving. For whom Christ died, this Spirit will indwell and NOTHING can take it away. Because it wasn't earned in the first place.

The truth of Christ is freedom

    Freedom from having to navel gaze for some works to get over the hump for salvation as if Christ's work was not enough.

The only thing you will find there is some belly button lint... NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS

That can only be found in Christ alone in His DEATH. Everything thing else posing to be the way to God are just cheap imitations. Like dollar store knock offs!
