Contest// "My experience with Hive"

Hello, beautiful people of Hive, it is always my pleasure to always share with everyone on this platform and those outside the platform the beautiful things I have experienced in my stay on Hive blockchain.

Just like Thomas in the bible who never believed that Jesus Christ had risen and shown himself to his disciples until he had an encounter with Jesus Christ himself, so many of us are like Thomas including myself.

We believe so much in what we see than what we've heard or hear about a thing and that is why it is so hard to convince people about Hive blockchain except you have proof of your encounter with Hive or on Hive blockchain.

That's one of the reasons I am proud and excited to write this contest conducted by @ambarvegas, or perhaps, I should call myself Hive preacher because of my experience so far on Hive blockchain.

Now, let's get down to business;

Hive is a decentralized blockchain whose aim is to reward content creators for their quality and original article posted on the platform with an upvote (like)👍 which after seven days the money goes into your Hive wallet.

The content curators are not left out as they also receive rewards for every content they upvotes which also goes to their wallet after seven days.

Hive is a blockchain that opens one up to meeting new and different people from all areas of life with different specialization and different countries and having the opportunity to be schooled and educated by these people through their content as well. It is a two-way thing. You teach people with your content and get tutored back from other people's content.

Hive is a two-way thing. It is not only a benefit to the writers but also to those whose job is to curate posts. So I can as well say, Hive is meant for people who create content and for people who curate content.

In Hive, we have our wallet which consists of three tokens, Hive, which is a liquid token that can be withdrawn after seven days to get any necessary needs of yours, we have the HP, which is known also known as Hive Power, this token can't be removed easily like the first one but can either be powered up or powered down if you need the money and it takes some weeks before you can withdraw the money for use. We also have HBD, which is known as Hive Backed Dollar, this also can be withdrawn when in need and the price of this is always higher than Hive. We get these three tokens after seven days of our post payouts

I learned about Hive from my boss who is still on Hive till and he is one of the encouraging and oldest members of Hive whose testimony has encouraged thousands of people on this blockchain and is still encouraging many to onboard on Hive.

Like many of us, I had so many doubts and I shouldn't be blamed for that because of many stories about how online businesses always end up being a scam or ends up crashing making thousands who trusted in it lose their money, resources, and time.

Or perhaps, as an average Nigerian who believed mostly in what they see than what they hear, I never believed in Hive and always trod with caution for fear of losing all the money I worked my ass out to earn.

Thinking back to the funny thoughts and doubts I had about Hive, I can't help but crack up because I can't believe I had those doubts about Hive and till today, Hive is still very much alive and kicking and also improving thousands of people's life and way of living. To many, it has become their source of living, and to many, it is their life investment.

What has been my experience so far?

So far so good, my experience on Hive hasn't been a nice journey and most times or days, aren't always a nice one to tell but I am always happy that I joined Steemit and got involved.

The journey wasn't a smooth one neither was it a sloppy one but would say it was a journey of those two comings once in a while. I have heard my ups and downs, I have had my happy, sad, and disappointing moments, I have had a moment I just couldn't explain how it was but in all, I would say those moments were there are come to teach me that nothing good comes in a platter of gold. If you want to have good things, work hard for them.

There were times we gave up but in all, I am proud because I have achieved so much than I expected from Hive blockchain. I am a content curator on Hive and so far so good, for the past year, I have earned my income from Hive blockchain, paid my bills, provided my family needs and for myself, paid my house rent, and bought a new phone for me which is making blogging more interesting and phone for me.

I have learned how to write, and think out of the box and the thousands of people I have come across on this blockchain can't be mentioned. All these are part of the experience and I am glad they came because they molded me and made my testimony and love for Hive grow each passing day.
