Maroon Memories—Neither Red Nor Black

avatar

It isn't something pink or sky blue shades she used that much. It was more of a dark red or black. And these shades define her completely, blood and death. It ain't a story of a witch, which includes blood and death. She was a common girl who was slightly different than others. Those pure black earrings which glowed in the night and that dark red stones in her necklace were enough to create a strange image of her.

Even her name was purely common. Alice, that was her name, common name for any dreamy girl. The thing that made Alice different from others as she wasn't one who was wandering around to find a wonderland. She was searching for the marshy land, land were the ignored ones grows. Her travels were was some kind of a search to find the worst, not the ones which give pleasure in the first sight and soon you realise they are just a gimmick.

There is a belief that mysteries and terrible things happen mostly at night. In real it's the day time that's more mysterious, nobody cares the things happening in those hot afternoons. Sun puts a clear light as a pseudo layer to cover all the awkwardness happening around. It includes crime and other mysteries.

The afternoon Alice reached that beach house also was a one with lot layers of dimensions. The things happens usually in a different dimensional plane, a trained eye could only see those. Alice was more than just trained, after setting up her bags inside the house she went out to look at the neighbourhood and those boring waves.

There isn't no one around, a few houses was in the neighbourhood but all seem like an apocalypse just happened when she arrived. She lo looks at the sea, it felt like that was enough for her to kill the afternoon. She walked towards, it ain't that much easy to walk towards the sea. A bit more effort is needed.

Final she saw was someone, a guy in his formals. He's holding the shoe in his hand, he isn't a local. Alice gave small diversion to her straight walk towards the sea, he was walking in some kind of way parallel to the sea, he's walking away from the sea. On her right, she could see a converging point where she could meet him. He isn't that much charismatic, but she feels like he was enough to have a chit chat.

There was a slight change from the way she planned their meeting. He sat on the beach a few metres away from the convergence point. He sat there and put his shoes on the sand. It took a few moments for Alice to make a decision to continue with her plan. Finally, she also sat on the beach a little bit away near him. They both feel sole kind of silence around them where there was a noisy sea in front of them.

There aren't Adam and Eve, but the divinity in the silence made them greater than Adam and Eve. Cause these two aren't lovers, these guys ate just some wanderers from different dimensions.

"Why did you left me?" His voice broke the silence. He is looking at the sea when he spoke these words.

Alice was in some kind of chaos, she looked around. There is only the sea and her. It took some moment for Alice to process all these. He isn't still looking at her, he is looking at the sea.

"You talking to me?" She asked out of the confusion.

He smiled, it's still the waves that were reflected in his eyes.

"I know you didn't have an option, but just one thing. Never forget to come back. I know when you are not here, don't try to fool me."

Alice looked at him with more attention, he doesn't look like a maniac. But she couldn't find a reason for these words. She couldn't remember that face, but there was something he had to connect with her vibe.

"Could you please look at me and talk? I can't clearly remember you." This time her voice was a little bit rougher to clear the chaos. The next moment he stood up, now he is looking straight to her, he didn't talk to her. He just walked towards her, but before reaching next to her he tilts his head to look at the sea for once more.

"Goodbye, Alice."

He just said it and walked through her.

The End ❤
