Splinterlands Weekly Challenge | Naga Fire Wizard incredible toughness
It's been many months since I last visited the @splinterlans community and I missed a lot to be here and share with you my fabulous battles and these great challenges that tested me and made me a better player. I was quite some time away, but not by my will, because I am currently facing a serious internet connection problem, I don't have a fixed connection at the moment, but I try as much as possible to keep up to date.
It was about a week ago and a few days ago that I was able to return, I have managed to connect even if it is not a fixed connection, which has allowed me to return and create content again, I have also been able to rejoin the battles which really excites me a lot because the game has changed a lot in this time, there are new rules, new cards, skills and I'm learning from these, so taking advantage of my return I did not want to miss this challenge, taking into account that my team "Fire" is a competitive deck. I take this opportunity to thank @splinterlands and @carrieallen for these great challenges, always the best of success to you.
Now let's get to know this letter in depth, come with me...
This is a rare Fire Splinter card, it has great magical powers making it an adversary worthy of any enemy, but not only has a very strong attack, its great defense and life makes it even more special, and it has very good skills that make it very resistant to the attacks of the adversary allowing it to have time to seriously damage its enemies. These abilities are the following: "Shield", this is an ability that reduces the damage that my Naga can receive from enemy attacks by 1 point, it also has the ability of "Thorns" at higher levels, where I can use both, which makes it one of my favorites of my fire team when fighting.
Currently I only have one Fire Summoner, because during the time I was away I lost several important delegations that I was keeping in order to be in a good position and reach the top of the ranking. But it's not all bad, the Malric Inferno I own is at a very good level, so it's really all I need for now to be able to battle in Gold and Diamond respectively. It didn't increase the attack power of my Naga, but it was able to do so with 3 of my cards, one main and 2 secondary cards that formed my attack and/or defense strategy against my opponent.

Rule of my battle
Close Range and Equalizer with 26 Mana
- Mana: 26
- Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
- Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Malric Inferno
My summoner for this battle, although I did not have many options as I mentioned before, I took advantage of it to get the most out of my attack strategy, since, in my formation, 3 cards have melee attack and my summoner helped me to exponentially increase their attacks which allowed me to further weaken the frontal attack of my enemy.
Cerberus
My default tank almost in most battles is this card, of course this changes depending on the battle rules, but for this one, it once again worked perfectly. My Cerberus has unique abilities that make it a really strong and deadly card in battle, its purpose in this position was to back up my Naga Fire Wizard in the attack as the strongest cards in my team. His "Recovery" ability, allowed him to heal himself in each round by withstanding the big attacks of my opponent's big tank, and his second ability called "Retaliate", allowed him to immediately return the attack propitiated by my opponent, weakening even more his battle front.
Naga Fire Wizard
My second card on the attack front and the one of this great challenge. My strategy in highlighting his great abilities in this battle was mainly to protect my back team, which did not possess abilities that would allow them to withstand my opponent's attacks. Certainly the "Equalizer" battle rule worked perfectly for me, since his tank gave a great amount of energy and life to all my cards, including the weaker ones, so having my Cerberus and my Naga in front would be enough for their abilities to withstand the great attacks of my opponent, defending my back team and at the same time destroying the main cards of my opponent.
Kobold Miner
This is a very useful and effective card in battle and even more so when I can combine it perfectly with my Malric summoner. Clearly I didn't just think about my opponent's strongest front cards, I had to somehow weaken his back attack so that my main attack cards could take as much damage as possible, it is for this reason that my Kobold Miner and his "Sneak" ability, entered this position in my lineup, mainly to protect him and additionally so that I could weaken his last cards and in this way corner my opponent and neutralize him.
Serpentine Spy
A really cool card that I placed in the 4th position of my lineup. "Serpentine Spy", which in normal conditions I would not place it because of its low life, but due to the "Equalizer" rule and the additional energy received thanks to my opponent's tank, there would be no problem with this. This card has an incredible ability and this consists of attacking the weakest card in terms of life of my opponent's formation, which is great, as it allows me to weaken his cards depending on which one is weaker than another. This allowed me to quickly destroy his tank giving me an immediate advantage in the battle.
Beetle Queen
This is one of my favorite cards, maybe not everyone can see its great potential at lower levels, but certainly at higher levels it is very useful. The reasons for using this card in the fifth position are simple but effective, at first I thought of placing an additional monster to help my tank to recover from the attacks of my opponent and what better than this card with its ability of "Tank Heal" for this task. It also has a decent magic power attack, which would help my main attack cards in subduing my opponent's cards.
Halfling Alchemist
Last but not least my Halfling Alchemist card from my lineup. When I saw the battle rules, one of the strategies I immediately think of is to place cards with very low mana and low life, trusting that my opponent or I can place a card with great life and provide this energy to the rest of the team. Such was the case of my Alchemist, where his main function was to weaken my opponent's attack from a distance, thanks to his ability to halve the attack of all the monsters he touches with his axe. This way I could ensure the endurance of my main attack cards on the battlefield.
My strategy actually worked perfectly, I was able to completely neutralize my opponent's attack lineup. I was also able to take advantage of the battle rules in my favor to further decrease his chances of winning. My Naga Fire Wizard performed perfectly as I thought it would and thanks to its great attack power I was able to destroy my opponent faster.
For a next time I will try to adapt my Naga to a different combination of rules to see how it behaves and evaluate its performance depending on these, but it is certainly a very powerful card that despite its high mana cost can be adapted to many of the established battle rules of the game.
I had already used this fabulous card before, as I mentioned it is one of my favorites to always use with the fire Splinter and when the battle rules and mana allow me to use it in all its splendor, as it happened with the challenge battle I just presented. Its abilities make it a tough nut to crack and a dangerous and deadly monster in battle, I would definitely use it again as I always do.
