Greetings to the entire community and dear Splinterlords.

In this post I want to participate in the incredible initiative shown by the @bdcommunity, where they present the "Splinterlands Quidditch", a writing contest to highlight an exciting battle fulfilling specific conditions and rules, in order to highlight our strategy and show with which possible cards or lineup we could have lost or won as the case may be.

In this sense, this is my first participation in the contest, so I want to present my battle with the "Little League" rule and show what was its development.

Battle Strategy and Development

We all know what the intrinsic rule of our battle must be, however, I will give a brief explanation of what this one is about. Fighting a battle with this rule means that neither my opponent nor I can use cards with a mana level above 4, in this sense, we only use cards with a lower level than this.

Strategy

My strategy was to take advantage of the ability of my card called "Divine Healer", which is "Heal". This ability allows us to recover our first allied card that serves as a tank, so my main objective was simply to give them that recovery, so that my main attack card and range thrower "Peacebringer", would finish with the greatest number of opponents and thus obtain the victory.

Alignment

Crystal Jaguar: I didn't have many tank options available to place in battle, however, the best low mana tank I could find was definitely my Jaguar and its "Thoms" ability, which works like a kind of thorn, that when my opponent attacks with a melee monster, it takes direct damage to his shield or health.

Creeping Ooze: A decoy card that simply serves as cannon fodder. I also placed it so that I could attract possible monster attacks with the "Snipe" skill and thus give the rest of my cards more time to attack.

Divine Healer: Possibly the most important card in my lineup, as it demonstrates the true power of the Heal skill, not only healing my card in the first position, but also when it comes to taking the place of a tank, which gave my Peacebringer enough time to attack.

Peacebringer: My team's strongest card, as far as attacking is concerned. His 3 point attack range helped me enormously in the battle against my opponent, acting in conjunction with my Divine Healer to defeat my opponent on the field.

Possible cards that would have damaged my strategy.

My opponent used a very good kill team, I would keep that lineup and only replace one particular card, which in my analysis and opinion would have been the difference between winning or losing the battle. In this case, I would have won by overriding the healing ability of my Divine Healer, thus removing that resistance and removing my cards from the field.

The card to replace in that formation would be the Undead Priest, but the card that would take its place would be the next one:

  • Undead Archer: This card would have changed things drastically for my formation, since its ability called "Afliction" would have cancelled out the Divine's healing ability in my Jaguar tank, this way it would have been much easier to defeat it despite its Thoms, this way things would have been totally different for me, giving the victory to my opponent.

To conclude, as a tip for those cases where we have to follow this rule, we should always focus on cutting the "Heal" skills, because they always give us the advantage, however, if we manage to cancel it out, there are more chances that the balance will tip in our favor and we will win the battle.
