I'm impressed... Nigerian banks are improving

You heard me right. Thanks to technology, things or services that were hitherto impossible are being undertaken today by most Nigerian banks. This is not a hearsay; it is a matter of personal experience.

Sometimes last two weeks, I woke up to find out that the sum of ₦5000 was debited in my account by Eco Bank group. After thinking over it all, i couldn't think up anything as the reason for the debit. So I concluded to visit my bank and found out the reason behind that.

Some branch customer Reps are just collecting salary for nothing

Yes, that's true. Some customer Reps are nothing but eye servicing officers. They don't know their roles in the organisation.

So inviting one of their branches here in Aba, I was told by a Rep that she has no explanation over what happened. She advised that I write a letter so that they forward to their central office to figure that out. I did immediately in compliance.

I tweeted their central office about the occurrence

My bestie later advised me to write directly to their headquarters, that they would surely respond as she had had such an experience with a different bank.

I searched up their tweeter handle and immediately tweeted them about the development via inbox.

To my surprise, they didn't only respond, they also gave me a call and advised me on what to do which I did.

Just this morning, they requested me to confirm the branch I visited, which I did immediately. Even though the issue hasn't been resolved totally, it shows that they're working, and that's very comforting and shows someone is working to resolve your issue.

I'm impressed. Never knew such is possible with financial institutions in this part of the world. Perhaps because I never had an issue like this for a long time.

You heard me right. Follow my footsteps the next time you face such a situation.

Thanks for reading.
