Globalization and International trade are related to each other. It is not reciprocal. It also promotes international trade. After the Westphalian dimension, Countries had been formed; Different regions were categorized into different countries.

But As a whole, no country is not fulfilled with what it has. A country can’t meet up the need of every citizen along with the different institutions of government. So the countries do trade with each other. As the population is rising day by day International Trade was rising too. And after the cold war, It was dramatically increased. The borderless market system indulges in the culture of each country. The western country promotes their culture along with their cultural product

After the cold war, the United States of America became the hegemon of the world. The socialist block kept themselves aside and did not take part in international trade as their ideology does not support international trade. The military and the economic power were being regulated by the western capitalistic block. They inaugurated different institutions like the World Bank, International Monetary Fund to promote International trade. The borderless market system was boosted by the innovation of the Internet. By the passage of time, the world economic system is divided into three different regions. And thus underdeveloped nations addressed as third world countries.

The first world country has the economic power to introduce different trade policy through their institutions. And Invest in third world country to set up industries. So, where the connection between trade and culture?
To answer the question, firstly we have to know what is culture? And what is the cultural industry? Culture is the aged old behavior of a group of people. It is the sum-total behavior of the people of a society. But in a specific region, there are some behaviors that are common. For example, the female of Bangladesh wears a sari and the male wear lungi. These dresses are the traditional dress of Bangladesh. Culture adopts religion, behavior, occasions, languages. So, we may tell that the Identity of an Individual is recognized by culture.

Cultural Identity Seen Through the Politics of Thread.jpgcultural Identity through political threads

What is cultural industry? To answer that question, we may demonstrate the concepts with examples. Bangla noboborso is a cultural occasion of the people of Bangladesh. On these occasions, certain types of activity are done. Like, the females wear the sari, in rural aria people arrange the village fair, Certain types of food are promoted too. And with the time being these occasions are not celebrated within the house. Every walks of people join to celebrate the program. Thus a variety of industries are formed based on the occasions. Thus the aged old culture grows and flourishes. But Because of the interventions of different cultures through globalization, we don’t know who we are now. We feel an identity crisis. And with the help of International trade, the different cultural products are available. Media plays a vital role to advertise those products in a fascinating way.

The following aspects are responsible for cultural clash:

Languages
Language is one of the important components of a specific culture. As the global market place is run with a specific language, everybody concentrates on the specific language to take part in the global marketplace. There are a number of multinational company promote English as a medium of communication. Corporate sectors promote English as it is their first priority. So the current generation concentrates much in English instead of practicing their mother tong. The people of Bangladesh are called Bengali because they talk in Bangla. But If they don’t practice Bangla properly, they will lose their identity one day.
Education system
There is a proverb regarding the education system. As the proverb goes “If you want to destroy a nation, do not use nuclear weapons upon them, just destroy their Education system”. The Education system mainly teaches “your majesty” types work instead of enlightening them. The students are being reared to take part in the International marketplace instead of working for the country.
Literature
Literature highlights the culture of the country. It is like a historical book where the writers put a story, poem in the context of a specific time span, and in a specific context. Within the literature content Writers automatically highlight behaviors, tradition, etc. But the amalgam situations are not likely to produce good literature.

Film Industry
From the Industrial perspective, if there is a big Industry present along with a small industry, the small industry will vanish from the market place. Nowadays we were eager to wait for the Hollywood film instead of watching Bengali film. That’s why we cannot realize where we are heading.
Adaptation of international trade-related policy
The government of Developing countries is more likely to adopt the policy which is favorable to big business companies. That is why the small national industries cannot see the light of hope.

From the above discussion, we see Globalization has been introduced to promote international trade. In a capitalistic world, everything is tradable, from household chores to culture. But with that, we are losing our Identity, belief, and many more. Mostly we lose our stability of society. We cannot realize what our social values are. We are heading towards selfless beings with no social responsibility. We cannot give any legacy for our future generations.

We all know about the term which is called entropy. It demonstrates the Idea about the rate of disruption. The world's entropy is increasing day by day because of amalgam situations. It will end in a big exploration. We don’t know what will happen then. But globalization helps in many ways but it creates an Identity crisis too.

From the essence of Hungtintongs clash of civilization, we may assume to see conflict in the near future. Which is not good for the civilization of humans.

Maybe I'm not experienced to share my thoughts in English clearly. But I'm trying. This content is not represented as blog content. You may not find the Content interesting but you may read to have the slice concept about Globalization and cultural clash.

It's a really challenging time to keep our own traditions and culture... Western countries have made some things very easy "reachable", and people, lazy in general, have fallen to that trap...

Not just culture, but food industry, leisure, sports... Everything is too much commercialized and take out the real fun from it...

It obvious that I'm anti-globalist, but if I go to some different country, I want to eat food from that region, and not McDonald's hamburgers... See people in traditional clothing, and not Versace, Nike, or whatever else...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this important topic!
