Peace

Two hearts joined together to become one
Marriage, the ultimate prize was finally won
Vows taken, as they both looked forward to a life of bliss
Smiles brimming, the joys of no longer being a miss
Peace? No far from it, for soon enough war broke out
Camouflage put on, as bedroom voices changes to screams and shouts
Machine guns loaded, as accusations are fired rapidly
Bombs, from one end to another, as blows and slaps are landed heavily
Peace? Yes see them holding hands, walking together
Inseparable, as they never want to leave each other
And so, they are an admiration, as everyone watches them like a favourite TV station
What you don't know, is that they put up the show, just for the congregation
Peace? No, we are back again to their battleground.

Where it's just two of them, with no foreign eyes around
Spears thrown, as they hurl abuses, piercing deep in each other's backs
Swords drawn, as they cut each other with unkind words and thoughtless remarks
And so tired from it all, they will wave a white flag again and again, calling for peace
But it's too late, for the heart is broken, and can't be fixed, for there are just too many missing piece
