The Generous Life.

You haven't been called for you. You have been called to make a difference and impact lives. We are to become the image of God and God is generous. Someone once said: "I would rather live for a day and touch many lives than to live for a hundred years and not be remembered by anyone."

God places importance on generosity and the whole reason why God sent Jesus to earth should open our eyes to how giving God is. He didn't withhold.. He gave.

When you have an awareness, you have to make an impact by taking steps. Most people only speak but rarely take steps to actually make an impact. Someone once said that whatever God opens your eyes to see, it has been placed as a responsibility sometimes for you to solve. There should be that hunger that comes from awareness which will propel us to ACT.

Most people only live for themselves or think for themselves. It's all about what they can amass...what they can lay in store for themselves. It is not all about money, but there are some other things we can be generous with. Jesus was pressed for time heading to another place where He had been called to, yet He made time for the woman with the issue of blood. Giving someone your time also counts for generosity because time is valuable. There is a quote that says, "He who wastes an hour in the morning will spend the whole day searching for it."

You need to get to the point where you have to help others apart from yourself. Sacrifice your time and your resources. Take that time to stop and listen to someone, be generous with your belongings and attention. Learn to accommodate others and learn to leave a bit of you in everyone you come across rather than only taking from others. We need to learn to have the heart of generosity.

Generosity is love in action. You can give without "loving" but you can't love without giving. God is the Father of light in whom there is no variableness. Generosity unlocks certain things we might never understand.

Your generosity honours God. God wants us to be enriched in every way so we can be a blessing; a channel unto others. Giving doesn't mean you have in excess, it only shows where your heart is; to honour God. Some people are always greedy for more but the generous have a kind heart. Generosity is a cure for greediness and it demonstrate your faith in God.

We trust God with everything apart from our resources. We believe in God, trust in Him, believe Him for everything but separate our finances when it comes to God or His House.

Being generous shows the state of your heart and character. If you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth who will then commit into your hands true riches? Being generous brings God's blessings into your life - Deuteronomy 15:10.

What you lacked the most might be the thing you need to give out even more. When what you have is not enough to meet your needs, you might need to turn it into a seed. As you are the answer to someone's prayer, someone will also become the answer to yours. Generosity expands your influence.

You can't light a lamp on the path for others and keep the light from your own path. It doesn't work that way...because those who refresh will certainly be refreshed too.

Thank you for your time.

Being generous is a virtue in the sight of God and it is one of our obligations. Why wouldn't we do it when his commandment states that we should love our neighbour as ourselves and being generous is one of the ways to express our love to our neighbours.

This is huge, thanks for the message sir.

God is all about generosity. Jesus is generosity personified. Jesus went about doing good as the Bible told us and it's the truth. Jesus gave His time, energy, love and everything that needed to be given. He held nothing back.

That's right, his way of life and everything about his existence preaches about generosity. God himself is generous because who would have given his only begotten son to die for our sins?

God preaches generosity...He demonstrated it and lived it. He showed it and also allowed Jesus to model it. The greatest level of giving ever is what God did...give us Jesus.

There is no greater generosity than that and everyone who claim to be his followers should understand this by now. The fact remains that we aren't just in the world for ourselves, we have a bigger purpose that's beyond just us.

We are not in the world for ourselves. We shouldn't live for ourselves. A worthy life is a life that makes a difference to other lives.

God gave us the greatest level of giving - His only begotten son. God gave us, Jesus gave us and who are we not to give if we claim we love?

It preaches about generosity. That's legit. His whole reason for coming to earth to meet and dwell amongst humans is an act of generosity on its own.

That's right. God is all about generosity. You also mentioned one of my favourite Bible verses there: "And everywhere He went, He went about doing good." This is a good motivation for us to always do good and touch lives.

That's indeed a motivation for us all and if we truly honour his words, we will take generosity as a regular thing that we should practice.

We should always practice it. It should be a second nature to us... I am happy for your deep understanding always. Thank you very much, brother.

It's a great virtue because it's the nature of God. That's why I love this hymn that says "I gave, I gave my life for thee, what hast thou given unto me?" That has always been my motivation because Jesus is asking what have we given unto Him and the Bible says when we have done something good for those around us, we have also done it for Jesus. It motivates me.

God has called us to a generous life and not a life of selfishness. Jesus modelled this and God Himself modelled this for us. That's the template we should follow. God is the way and when God blesses us, we should be a blessing to others too.

I very much agree that God has laid that path of generosity and he expects us to walk through it.

God expects us to walk through it and follow through. We have received from God, we should also show generosity to others.

You are very right, sir. I have always believed that everything we are today is for a purpose, the connection, wealth and every thing is a blessing from God so that we can bless others

It's a blessing from God. What we do with that blessing rests on us and with us. Gracias, brother.

No one can deny this. We have received from God. We always receive from God. It's only right to also give to others.

God surely laid the path and as the children of God, we should continue in it. Thank you.

When God blesses us, He expects us to also show generosity to others. What do you have that you have not received? As we have received, we should also give.

What do you have that you have not received? Ah. That's deep. There is nothing we have that God didn't give to us. Very legit.

What a great post friend very important, it is a great lesson that God gives us and we should always be generous with our surroundings at all times, because it is not worth accumulating material things because in the end when you leave this earthly plane you will take absolutely nothing with you, if someone needs us we should be cheerful givers, thanks for sharing this great post friend ♥

It's not worth accumulating everything all to what end? Exactly, my friend. Someone once said "If you have everything, where will you put them?" Generosity indeed cures greed. We should give to help others...we can give our time and other things depending on human needs.

Exactly, it depends a lot on each situation in which we can help our environment, we must be very generous at all times and in any circumstance that arises in our life, only then we can feel happy and content to do things well and from the heart ♥

Perfectly said. When you said love in action means generosity, a lot of people didn't understand that we are not created for ourselves, we are created for others. I mean we are created for humanity. Generosity to me I strongly believe is not only limited to what we give out financially or even in materials but also how we live our life. We must actually be very careful that we live our life for others and not to be self centered

We are definitely not created for ourselves. We are to live for others and also ourselves. It's not limited to material things...there are so many things we can give...support...a voice...a shoulder to cry on and the likes too. Thanks for this

That is very true. A shoulder to really lean on. A lot of people really need to understand this. Do you know that if everyone of us is living with this mindset, our society will be in a much better place to be than where it is right now. But well, that is how life is actually. I strongly believe if a lot of humans can have this mindset, the world of humanity will be a better place to be

It's all about the mindset. Once we can cultivate that mindset, it's easier to see things in a different perspective. We need to grow into this mindset and do what's right for us and for those around us.

That's true. It's all about mindset. Mindset can really make the difference beyond what we can ever imagine of. Mindset is the difference factor

Thinking for oneself only is bad because when you think for others or people around you, you end up being the one who benefits from it. I think many people don’t know this

We are wired to be a blessing to everyone around us as well as us. A lot of people have been fueled by greed but we shouldn't live life on that at all.

It is true that God has given us many special and good ways to live, if we follow them, our lives will be much easier and we will have a lot of peace when we help others. Because it is the responsibility of all of us that every person should live a good life and if a person is in trouble, then all people should help him and easy his life's difficulties.

We are all here to help one another ...to make life easier for one another. What's life if we don't make life better for others? Thank you.

It is not necessary that the help is done with money and the life of the other is made easier. If we help him in any other system and his life is made easier because of us, then all of us will be very happy.

Very true. It doesn't have to be about money. We can help any other way we can depending on what each person needs per time.

We should always work hard with faith in God, then after working hard day and night, a time must come when we are successful and after being successful, the first thing we should do is to help each other and then After that, help the poor people who are not able to eat bread, so our God has also told us to help such people and we will get a lot of good things in return.

We have been called to help one another. We are blessed to be a blessing. We should always see life this way and things will become way more simpler.

The most happiness is when a poor person is ready to help another person, it is also a pleasure to see such things and it is also seen that people only help rich others. Poor people also help more.
