Surprise!

Femi jumped in his seat when he heard a knock on his office door. For the past few days, he had been a little bit too observant. Not because anyone was after his life but because he was scared of what his wife was planning especially due to that fact she had said nothing since the incident. The same incident that was now threatening to end his marriage.

Three days ago, when Femi had woken up that morning expecting to be greeted with a lot of kisses and a delicious breakfast in bed from his wife but all he saw was an empty bed. He felt they had decided to take the surprise downstairs and had immediately brushed his teeth before running downstairs but aside from the usual morning greetings he got from his wife and kids, nothing else happened.

He decided not to spoil his day with the thoughts of his family forgetting what today meant to him, so he got dressed and drove to work. But it had not been any different there too. It was business as usual as nobody paid any special attention to him. So he decided to just be by himself. If the plans of his family and friends was to spoil his day, then they had succeeded.

Later that day, sometime around 11am, Femi was called into his manager's office. He quickly went to her office and was surprised when she offered him a cake and wished him a happy birthday. Not all of his friends had forgotten after all.

She asked if it would be okay if he went out on lunch with her, and he agreed. He needed to get far away from all of his fake friends anyway. So she drove him to a restaurant in town. The lunch had been amazing and Femi's manager had asked if he wanted to accompany her home which he agreed to. On getting to her house, she asked him to make himself comfortable in the living room while she to go get something in her room.

Femi waited until he heard her close her door before immediately stripping himself naked. He knew what comes next the moment she steps out of that room and he was ready. Two minutes later, the door burst open, almost giving Femi a heart attack.

“Surpri....” Femi's family and friend all stopped short when they noticed he was naked.

Apparently, he had showed up naked to his own surprise birthday party.
