The Call Girl

A few days ago, Segun was a free man with little worries but today he was standing in front of a judge awaiting judgment.

Segun couldn't help but think about how his whole predicament started. It was on a wednesday night when Segun received a call from Monica to come open his gate for her.

Monica was a call girl, a hooker whom Segun had called to come keep him company for the night.

After ushering her in, he went ahead to get her something to eat. Usually they would have gone straight to business but Segun had paid for the whole night, so he felt there wasn't any need to rush.

At about 10:47pm something strange happened. Segun had gone to take his bath when he heard some trashing sound at the living room where he had left Monica to watch TV.

He didn't think much about the noise as he felt she was probably looking for something but when he came out of the bathroom, he saw something that changed the direction of his life.

Monica was laying motionless on his couch.

He had quickly called 911 but she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The cops were called, Monica family contacted and Segun detained.

It all happened so fast. Turned out Monica was the bread winner of the family and they weren't going to let her death slide easily even after the doctors report said she died from asthma. The noise Segun heard while he was in his bathroom was Monica struggling to get her inhaler.

A pat on the back brought Segun back to reality. The judge had given his judgment and his lawyer had a huge smile on his face.

“Congratulations, you're a free man” was all Segun heard to know he had been discharged and acquitted.

That was the last time Segun requested for the services of a call girl.
