I successfully found the root of anxiety!

Most of my anxiety comes from 'uncertainty'.

Did you know about this? Are you very clear about this from the beginning?

Nope, it's not anything obvious, I know. You may know very well about this. But the thing is, it's not the same for everyone. Especially where we have grown up without knowing much about the importance of mental health. And so, we learned to not talk much about it, we don't usually discuss our mental health issues with others. And as a result, we end up having more problems. Most of the time those are simple but our lack of knowledge creates big issues out of it.

Let me give you an example!

For a few days, I'm feeling really anxious. I thought it's because of my sickness. But deep inside I knew something is not right, my mind is somehow feeling wrong. And reacting without any logical cause. Later, I found there is some deep down uncertainty and those are the reason I'm feeling angry, reacting negatively, and not doing well.

I guess it happens to everyone. Now, if you are the one who knows 'what is the reason' and knows about the 'uncertainty' things and ways to deal with it; then you should feel blessed. Maybe I'm not that smart. But I'm really trying my best to deal with it.

So what helped me most?

Self-compassion, acceptance, and mindfulness saved me.

Truly!

I found these three are something like a key bring peace of mind. It took me time to realize it and more time to incorporate these little things in life. I wouldn't say I'm still there where I meant to be but I'm on the way for sure.

It's way easier to understand how these can help us to reduce anxiety. Or I would say, it helps us to cope with uncertainty. When you practice self-care, focus on your present moment, don't think much about 'what if'; you automatically make yourself more adaptive, right.

You see, this is not anything complicated but we don't think this way. Or maybe it's just me. Anyway...

I'm writing this big letter to you; if you are feeling the same, not sure why you feel so anxious then try finding out the root cause. Your deep down uncertain feeling can be the answer.
