I am notoriously (in) famous over at the Neoxian City for passionately hating on the Barking Spider. Sure, it has blind at level 6 and above and sure, it's a great card in combination with Prince Rennyn. But guess what! I have neither a Prince Rennyn, nor a summoner to summon it at level 6 and above. So let me hate in peace, please!

A bit of a backstory for my readers who don't know exactly what happened between me and Barking Spider. Since day 1 of my Splinterlands journey, these ridiculous looking spiders started finding their way out of my daily loot chests into my card dungeon. Initially I didn't mind. But by the time I realized I had no use for these, I already had tons of these. I was getting at least 2-3 barking spiders almost everyday it started hitting on my nerves! And I dropped a bomb, the repercussions of which I couldn't predict.

Everyone is know for something unique at the Neoxian server. I was a new addition, still trying to blend in. And that day on, i was known as the Doc who Hates the Spider! I used to give away tons of it, just the sight of it infuriated me. I took my flamethrower down to my dungeon one day and burned 'em all. I don't usually burn cards, but this gave me so much fun! About 25-30 barking spiders, all burned in one go! poof! This is my FEEL GOOD BURN. Why is this the best burn? Ain't no better reason than making me feel good! :D

I am not entirely sure who came up with this, but there's a very common phrase that goes around in the Neoxian city. (Yeah yeah, I know I'm talking about Neoxian City too much, but my splinterlands journey started there. Deal with it :D)! So the saying goes as this -

And who fits this if not Yodin Zaku! Since my first season I have never finished below diamond league and within 3 or 4 seasons I was playing in the champions league with the big boys. But with my level of cards I was never comfortable and dreaded cards above level 7/8. But all that changed one sunny morning when I decided I've had enough of being a scared little boy and wanted to take the fight to the big boys! The beauty of Zaku is, if used strategically it can beat almost any deck, even when the opponent uses a higher level Zaku. The number of times I have beaten much higher level decks has risen exponentially since I rented a level 2 Zaku.

Confidence no longer lacks in my strategies. Having zaku available means I am more willing to experiment with other decks. Losing points scare me no more. I know I can always make up for lost points!

I don't overuse Zaku, but since arriving at my dungeon, he has improved my game play in an unforeseeable manner, validating an age old saying It is all about the confidence! I have publicly stated how big of a fan I am of Yodin Zaku on multiple occasions. I have hated Lir DeepSwimmer even before its release as it was apparently the Anti-Zaku. So much so that I wasn't even excited to pull it the immediate next day from a pack I got after a daily quest.

Zaku for the Win! Go nuts!
