Living a purposeful life

Nobody truly had a say on whether to be born or not. We simply find ourselves alive and living.

After we became conscious of our environment, we were told the world has rules which must be followed strictly. Failure means working against humanity and as such, we get punished.

As we grow, we get to understand that our coming to the world, though not from our own freewill, was not by accident.

We were born for a purpose. By purpose, i don't mean the predetermined destiny of what we will become.

This is a common view about purpose of existence but something i don't in its sentiment.

Rather, i means the true purposefulness decided by every individuals. This serves as a guideline on how we want to live our lives, what we want out of life and how we want to achieve every bit of these goals.

As a human being, your purpose is yours to decide and that is why freewill make sense. If it is not in your power, then the idea of punishment and rewards would have been meaningless.

They are meaningful because you decide from your own volition and you act accordingly with no one luring you from behind to do what is against your will.

This purpose is yours and the fact that it is a purpose or a goal says nothing about it being positive!

It can, in fact, be negative. Those who choose to be bad against being good picked a purpose they feel fits their existence.

We judge this as bad because it is against our moral standards. Also, they are bad in themselves.

Killing, stealing, smuggling, doping, etc, are moral evils and stealers of joy, happiness and life.

While choosing because the power lies within you, you should weigh the outcome and consider the impact of such decision on human beings.

Impact can be positive or negative, so make sure you pick the positive ones that will affect people around you and the world at large.

A purpose filled with positive impact is humane and should be encouraged ahead of the negative ones.

It's in you. Make the decision and choose positive purposeful existence.
