Nigeria as a country love the festive period called Christmas -Xmas. It is a time of merry and a time families come together as one.

During the Xmas period, everywhere is bright with many decorations and flowers to show that we are in the Xmas season.

No doubt, there is no festive period that is as beautiful and widely celebrated as the Xmas. It is a season that has its own unique weather.

Once we are very close to the Xmas period, you will know the season is around the corner without being told.

While this period is a time we always anticipate, it is marked by some irregularities.

People doubled their hustles when December is around the corner. Those who are working in big cities gather money and buy many things to take home in order to showoff.

This hustling make this period the deadliest in Nigerian. The last quarter of the year is the most feared months.

September, October, November and December are regarded as months packed with evils in them.

For Nigerians, they feel many calamities occur during these months more than they did during the other eight months.

So during this period, there are cases of kidnappings, rituals and more road accidents.

People during these months board 'one chance buses'. These are buses operated by thieves who disguised themselves as transporters but only to rob people of their valuables.

If they rob people and let them go peacefully, it would have been considered okay because life is more precious and valuable.

But these people don't release their victims easily. They literally throw them off the bus while on motion.

In some cases, these victims lose consciousness and only get to know where they are after reaching their captors destination.

Their captors used voodoo, , popularly called Africa magic on them which make them sleep until they get to their destination.

They are mostly used for rituals. By rituals, i mean the African way which involves killing their victims.

A testimony of such was shared in church recently by a victim who escaped from their grip so it is not fake or superstition.

These and many other bad incidents make these 'ember' months very deadly for Nigerians. We literally fear them more.

Hardly is there any Nigeria who does not know this. We are extra careful during this period as everything changes in pursuit of Christmas money.

The 'ember' months are feared really.

What do you think Nigerians? For others, is it the same in your country?

Thanks for your time.
