Bliss

We have a saying that goes something like "sleep usually resist the ones with knowledge" - not that it means if one lack in sleep, they're the well-informed ones, rather the conscious mind is usually deprived of the peace and quiet it usually needs.

How many times do you hope you were tad uninformed than you are now?

Ignorance is bliss - these words are often muttered by people who're growing restless due to what they're facing or what the world is throwing at them. A wise may often feel that if he/she knew less, then life would be easier. But then when push comes to shove, the learned may save the day. It's often misunderstood what is considered as ignorance and knowledge. It is often seen that a person learns more from the surrounding, people and experience than from any other source, albeit books and education are also necessary. People say that when it comes to real life, books don't help you much; this is partially true. There are people who discovers whole new world or even other dimensions in the neatly fonts and crisp pages.

There's no shortage of knowledge anywhere so in a way everyone is somewhat unaware at one aspect or the other. Even what one may consider as uneducated may have the bearings of worldly knowledge some other seeks. But one thing is sure, the vast terrain of knowledge doesn't frown upon the narrow ridges of ignorance. I believe that ignorance is the absence of knowledge or unwillingness to learn and everyone has some form understanding. And yet I'm not completely overthrowing the idea of lack of enlightenment.

I also believe that wealth and power do not contribute to cognizance. Although one may gain power and wealth through knowledge but its never the other way around. Might be going off track but I always tell people that talent will always bring money and fame to your doorstep; talent only gets sharpened by practice and yes of course knowledge. If you have watched Lord of the Rings then you may say that Hobbits are the blissfully unaware kind; when the whole world is going through war and malice, they were happy with their uneventful life in their quaint little part of the world. Does it sound relatable?

It's not hard to figure out the wise and the ill-informed. A learned will always crave to learn more and the ignorant will be reluctant. In any conversation, an ignorant try to justify him/herself right and others wrong, he/she will try to prove themselves as superior whereas a wise will never do that. A fish is unaware the kind of life in land as it swim across rivers after rivers and seas after seas; it knows nothing about land or it's livings there. To some extent, creatures of land, even us humans, barely know anything about the life in the depths of the ocean. Knowledge is often metaphorically compared to a vast ocean, the depths of which are endless in both cases.

In this side of the world (where I currently reside), ignorance and knowledge are out of place; the one who direly needs knowledge are far from it and the ones who have it are constantly put in the bottom of the food chain - but I'll not delve into that right now. And of course I'm blissfully unaware of many things and haunted by things that I know.

What happened to this homeland of my parents? Lot of what I read and see is quite alarming socially. Where is the soul of our homeland?

In the ocean of ignorance, wise men die alone :')

the rivers of ignorance and knowledge flow side by side, hard to distinguish one from the other. Easy to get derailed for mere humans ;)
